Welcome to the Ghost Zone

Prologue

                                                                                       -Dani's Pov-

It has been almost three years since the portal accident that gave me my ghost powers. A lot has changed since the asteroid that almost killed everyone on the planet almost three years ago. Valerie learned the truth about me being Phantom and was allowed to join Team Phantom. Sam has been dating Dora for about a year now. Tucker and Valerie got together when Val joined Team Phantom. And, I have been dating Clockwork since my sixteenth birthday.

                                                                                        -Flashback-

I was trying to get as much of my calculus homework done before I had to start patrol. I was suddenly over come with chills, as blue mist escaped my mouth alerting me to a ghost in my presence. I immediately turned ghost and looked around prepared for a fight.

"Hello Danielle," said a familiar voice.

"Clockwork?"

"Yes, I've come bearing important information, that I am not sure how you will respond."

"What is it that has got you all nervous about Clockwork?" I said warily.

Clockwork announced, "Danielle, there is a law stating that who ever defeats the current ruler, will then become the next ruler. So, you Danielle are now the Queen of the ghost zone."

"WHAT! But, almost all the ghost in existence hate me and want me dead. I can't be Queen. There must be a mistake." I said panicking

"Danielle calm down, your having a panic attack!" Clockwork said concerned and urgently.

"Clockwork I can't calm down, h-help m-m-m-me Clo-ockwor-rk."

Black dots started dancing a crossed my vision when Clockwork rushed to me and kissed me, breaking my train of thought and distinguishing my panic attack. After I finally got over the fact that Clockwork was kissing me, I kissed back. We both pulled back for air, gasping and faces flushed. Clockwork recovered faster than me and started apologizing professedly.

"I am so sorry Danielle. I don't know what came over me. When I saw you panicking, I panicked and just kissed you. It won't happen again I promise."

"So, it was just to calm me down?" I said sadly while trying not to let my tears escape.

"YES! Wait no, I did do it to calm you down but also because I wanted too." Clockwork said, the last part barely a whisper.

'Wait what does that me? Could Clockwork like me like I like him? No, it's not possible, no one could like me. After all, I am a freak.' I thought while looking down crying.

"I love you Danielle."

"What!?" I shouted, my head snapping up to look into his eyes.

His honest red eyes stared back into my sapphire blue eyes. I saw love and adoration in those eyes. I felt more love than I have felt in a long time. I stood up on my tippy-toes and whispered, "I love you too Clocky." And I kissed him.

After that we started dating and just last month Clockwork proposed to me. But, other than those few things, life has been the same. Until something unexpected happened at school that I would have never seen coming.

By the way Dani never revealed her identity in Phantom Planet. Her parents didn't figure it out either.
