"That was Mormo, Companion of Hecate. He bites bad children and uh...congratulations you're a Demigod." Glenn repeated for the thousandth time. I could tell he was getting a little annoyed.

"Wait so like what are my powers?" I asked out of utter curiosity.

"We're not sure yet. It depends on the person really." He paused scratching the back of his neck. "Do you remember the day you found this place Elise?"

I thought back. It was about a month ago when I was walking home from school. I saw a girl, who I now recognize as Lara, sitting at a picnic bench. She kept looking over her shoulder and checking her watch. She looked very paranoid, almost as if she thought something was going to attack her.

I didn't think anything of it at the time until she stood up. Her clothes, which I could not see before due to the fact that she was sitting down, were dirt smudged and stained with blood in places. She wore a fluorescent orange t-shirt with the words "Camp Half-blood" and a small picture of what appeared to be a Pegasus. On her back she carried a bag that looked way too full and bulky to be able to close.

I watched as she walked over to a man whole located near the subway station and climbed in. I looked around me at the streets of New York and the thousands of people flooding around me. Was nobody else seeing this teenage girl climbing into the sewer?

I now know that this was because of-What did Glenn call it? Oh, the mist. This was because of the mist. The Mist is a magical veil that prevents mortals from seeing various monsters, gods, Titans and other weird things. I imagine these people thought she was taking the stairs down to the subway.

Out of curiosity, I followed her into the sewer. When I got to the bottom I found Lara, Ross, Steven, and Glenn waiting for me like they knew I was coming.

"What the-How did you get down here?!" I remember Ross asking.

I pointed at Lara "Followed her." I replied gulping down my fear, I'm not going to lie, the idea of people in the sewers kind of freaked me out.

"How old are you?" Steven demanded of me rather assertively .

"F-fourteen sir." I answered back meekly

After a moment of awkward silence, Glenn finally said "Well, might as well join in. How are your art skills?" Glenn asked sort of at random.

"My wha-"

I stopped myself. There on the floor lay a spilled grocery bag of spray-paint cans. The walls, which I had not noticed until now, were full of murals and patterns and designs.

After that, I joined in painting and socializing with the others until the end of the session. Right before I was about to leave, I remember seeing Glenn draw Steven closer to him and whisper something in his ear.I don't remember much else after that.

"Vaguely." I say coming back to the present.

"Steven and I have scenced you were different, from the moment you first climbed into the sewer..."

"Wait. So you and Steven both have super, human, smell..."

"Oh no dear, we're Satyrs. Half goat. Half human."

"What about Ross and Lara?" I question. Glenn ushers towards them.

"May I present to you Lara Adams, daughter of Athena and Ross Kelley, son of Iris. They're Demigods like you."

"Anyway" Glenn continues "But due to the fact that you were 14, the age of claiming is 13, and you had not been claimed yet, we just assumed that you were a mortal who could see through the mist. Now, due to recent events we see that your father was just a bit late on claiming you as his daughter and you are indeed a demigod."

"But why now?" I ask crossly," If I am <Indeed a Demigod> why all of a sudden does my dad decide to just show up in my life and think he's like Jesus here to save the day? He's never been there for me before! Why now!?"

"Oh but my dear Elise, sometimes it's not that easy, Your father isn't really one to socialize and the gods have many children and it's very hard to keep track of all of them sometimes too.

" Man whore." I think. When my mother's intoxicated(which is basically always) she cranks old Johnny Cash tunes and thinks I'm my dad. She screams at me asking me why I left her. Why I left her with the stupid baby. She throws pillows and television remotes at me and recently a crystal vase. I feel her pain and hatred for my father and me learning that he suddenly recognized that I exist and wants to be my friend makes me want to squash him like a cockroach.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." I lie.

"Okay. Are, you ready to go? ."

"Go where?"

"Why Camp Half-Blood of course."
