1965.

11:25pm.

It was a warm night. Hunter had just been sent out on a call. Someone had complained about a loud noise, comeing from the room above them. He arrived on scene to see a very angry man. "About bloody time you got here!" His name was Michael. Hunter knew this because in the past they were friends, then he became a angry shit after his wife left him. He had black hair. He was shorten than a average man, and had a very stern face. "You should be lucky I came at all. You really think I want to be here?" Hunter then lit a cigar, he smoked a certain brand of cigar called "huff and puff" they were used to keep his powers under control. Because in this town, if anyone was caught using their powers, they were sent to execution. Hunter took a smoke and exhaled. He then heard shouts coming from the floor above them, dust fell from the dealing as they heard a crash. "This has been going on since 10:00 and you just now show up, please just do something about it, I need my beauty sleep" Hunter laughed "trust me, I know." They heard another crash "Don't come up" Michael snorted and crossed his arms. Hunter went up the stairs. All of them creeped. Michale lived in a old motel and lately it had just gone to shit. At the top of the stairs he heard the noise more clearly. " don't remember me!? You'll remember me after this you bitch!" Hunter then went up to the door. It was at the end of the hall way. He knocked the door down. He saw a big man, who he had met before. His name was axton. He use to be a hero. Saving people, getting the ladies. But now, silence he couldent use his powers legally, he became a thug. Hunter ran and grabbed axtons arm, he was just about to hit the woman. Axton stood up and punched Hunter in the jaw. Hunter was knocked back a bit. Axton then tried to hit the girl again, but Hunter ran across the room and tackled him to the ground. He then stood axton up and pined him to the wall. "What the hell is happening!?" Hunter yelled. "That bi....." Before axton could finish hunter kicked him in the knee cap, cracking it. Axton yelled in pain. "Get over it. You know you will heal, your a unstable. The girl then got up and came over to them. "He owes me money for.... Services" she said. Hunter let go of axton, who then fell to the floor. "If you don't stay there your going out that window" axton snorted, but decided to lay down. The room they were in was very small. It had a small window, a sink, a bed frame but with no mattress, and a closet. Hunter went to the other side of the room with the girl. "Thanks, he can be a real douche" she said. "What's your name and what happened?" Hunter saw she had a bruised eye and blood dripping from her face. "Faith, and all you need to know is that he owes me money" "for what?" Hunter asked "services..." Faith mumbled. Hunter knew what kind of service it was. Faith was wearing a blue dress, with a red ribbon around her neck. She was beginning to heal, hunter could tell. One of the perks of being a unstable, like everyone in this town, was you can heal quickly. That's a power everyone has. "I don't owe her nothing!!!" Yelled axton. He stood up and looked at Hunter face to face. Axton was taller than Hunter by about 0.4 meters. But Hunter wasn't scared. "You've got something on your face, axton." Said faith. Faith then spat some blood at him. Hunter then punched axton in the chest. Sending him across the room. Hunter knew axton would kill faith if he didn't do anything. Hunter then grabbed axton and threw him to the sink. The dink cracked, leaving glass shards in actons back. He grunted. Axton got up and threw the rest of the sink at Hunter. It hit him at full force. Hitting Hunter in the chest. He fell down. Axton then went over and picked him up by the shoulders. "I'm going out the window!?" Yelled axton. He was about to throw Hunter. Hunter then kicked him as hard as he could in the cleft, knocking the air out of him. Hunter was strong, even for a unstable. Axton then stood up, he was in front of the window. Hunter then ran and tackled him out the window. Sending them both fall in towards the ground. Hunter landed on top of a car. His body made a implant, destroying the car. Axton had hit the ground head first, sometime in the air they separated. Hunter looked to his left. He saw that axton had split his head open, but that was obvious. He looked to his right and saw Michael, mouth open and eyes wide. " my car..." He said. "Sorry I'll get up" "oh no by all means, stay, can I get you anything? A pillow? Some tea?" Michale was pissed, but he was still sarcastic, just like old times. " actually a pillow.." Before Hunter could finish. He was dragged off the car by axton, by the foot. Axton picked him up and pinned him against the wall. He began to strangle him. "Come on wolf, I know your in there!" Yelled axton. Hunters eyes became a yellow and brown colour, and he was beginning to grow claws. But before he could do anything, axton fell over. He had a shard of glass stabbed in the back of his head. It was the girl who stabbed him, faith. Hunter panted as he caught his breath. Faith had grabbed axtons wallet and was searching through it. "Thanks... " said Hunter, As he lit a cigaret. "No problome" she said. "Son of a.... Damn it, nothing" she threw axtons wallet to the ground. "In case you didn't know, he owes me money." "No, I kind of figured it out." He said. She began to walk away, but Hunter got in front of her. "You do know I need to question you about tonight, right?" "Look, sorry sherif, but this Is just the start of a crappy night for me, so I'll come by tommarow, ok?" Hunter nodded. Faith then tried to light her cigarette. Hunter lit it for her and they both took a smoke. "Are you ok? I mean the teeth, and the eyes, that's not normal" " I know, it...just happens sometimes." "Well I would love to stay, but I got to go deal with another asshole to try and get money" Wait" said Hunter. Hunter gave faith 30$. "Just in case" "Thanks..." She said. She walked away. Just as Hunter was about to walk away, faith turned and said "Your not as bad as everyone says you are" and then she walked away. Hunter then began to walk back to his apartment. When he walked by the car, axton was gone. " One of the perks of being a unstable..." Hunter mumbled to himself. He took a smoke and began to walk to his apartment.
