(3rd Person POV)
Jack noticed something weird over the pass few days... at first he brushed it off, but then it became more apparent. First the children began talking about roses appearing by people and their parents calling them in early. Then he spotted a figure guiding a dying dog out into the woods. He later found the dog resting in a hole of tree dead, a peaceful expression on its dog like features. This had happened to most of the animals in the area, the owners saying 'death guided to a peaceful place.'
...
"North, I have a question," Jack appeared next to north, scaring him slightly, "it's important." "what is it, come on, tell me." "Is there any other guardian I dont know about that exists? specifically one that 'guides animals to a 'peaceful' place."
An akward silence filled the room, the sandman who had just entered frowned, "you must be talking about Death..." "Death, as is 'dead' death?"
Sandman sat down in a chair next to them signing, "death is not a being that you should mess with, she is dangerous." "why isnt she a guardian then?"
"Because she doesn't want to join us lad," the Easter bunny butted in from across the room, "I know you dont like to listen sometimes, but this once listen to us. Stay away from her. dont tamper with her work either."
"But what if she runs into me?"
"Then run." the sandman signed, "that's a fight you can't win."
But you know what they say... curiosity killed the cat.

(Death POV)
I sat down in a tree watching the children play in the snow... I truly hate this time of year, it's much easier to get ill and die this time than any other time of the year, the second being summer. But I have no power over that. My sole purpose is to receive the souls of the deceased and guide them into the after life. Thankfully the most ive been guiding these days are old dogs who want to rest in peace...
To rest in peace... such a nice way to die... total peace...
I sighed as I dodged a snowball to head. I had no one to guide into the afterlife... not right now. my black hair danced in the wind, I leaned against a branch and rested my head. A few minutes of sleep wouldn't hurt anyone...
"How long are you still going to play the neutral card," a voice spoke and the branch next to me bent under the weight of a grown man. "I'm getting tired of your attempts..." he chuckled and smirked, "then join me." I turned to him, "..." "oh feisty aren't we." he leaned over and placed his fingers under my chin.
I pulled back and he chuckled, I turned to leave feeling a soul ripe for reaping, he grabbed my hand and twirled me around...
I sighed...
Why must people make things difficult...
(3rd person POV)
It was late evening when Bunnymund decided to venture out into town, he was glad he brought a scarf this time. He took a short walk around the neighborhood when he spotted Jack lingering in the area.
"Jack, what are you up to now?" said male flinched, turning like a robot to see his friend, "oh, you know, hanging around." "you're looking for her aren't you?" "whaaat, pffftt noo-yes..." "what did I tell you about-"
CRASH!
Their jaws dropped as pitch was smashed into a wall a few feet away from them, destroying it. he rose from the rubble, covered in bruises, his arm looking dislocated and his eyes filled with the fear. "Are you done or do I have to kill you for it to stop?"
Never in Jack's live has he seen anyone so... so... so...
Breath taking...
She was beautiful, (h/l) black hair dancing in the wind, calm relaxed matching eyes that bore into one's soul and a simple english dress with cute dress shoes that clothed her 14 year old body nicely with a black cloak. What stood out the most was the scary scythe clenched in her hand ready to reap souls and cleanly decapitate a body. Pitch's body to be more specific...
She hovered slightly off the ground, an unreadable expression dooned her face. Pitch seemed somewhat cautious. Death sighed having seen the duo and flew away. Pitch rose up, the sting and pain of defeat seeping into his amost broken body and soul.
"That was kind of you to pop up like that, a minute later and she would've wasted me on the walls." The giant bunny glared at him, "we just happened to be here. You knew just as well as us not mess with her."
"I won't stop till I get what want, " and with that the man disappeared into the shadows leaving the bunny there. Bunnymund turned to jack only to see a snowman in his place.
The boy had gone after her... Bunnymund didnt hesitate to call north.
...
"What?! I just saw her!" Jack snapped stopping. He followed her after she flew off and just when he bent the corner, she was gone.
"Who... are you?" A soft voice spoke in his ear. He turned to right to see her floating there staring at him, fear teared into his form, but wasn't she ahead of hi two seconds ago? He stared at her, getting a closer look at her, she was more attractive than he thought.
"I... I am jack," his voice decided to stick in his throat today. "My name... is (y/n)." He smiled softly, she didn't try to kill him or anything or the sort. "I have to go..."
"Can we meet again sometime," he asked softly. She paused for a moment then took her necklace out from her neck and gave it to him. He looked at it confusion, then he look up to see her gone.
She was no where to be found.
"What's wrong with you!?" North screamed from above. And he spotted everyone running towards him. They checked him up and down for any injuries... none. "She didn't hurt you?" Tooth asked cheeking his teeth for the umpteenth time. He shook his head, "she seemed rather okay with me."
North noticed a twinkle of emotion in his eyes, it was so small, so insignificant but... it was there.
"Well we better get back to the base," North scratched the back of his head. The others made their way home, only North and Bunnymund staying behind to walk.
"You saw it too, didn't you north?" Bunnymund sighed, north nodded, "we shouldn't be too worried, I can see a beautiful relationship forming between the two... they just need guidance."
"I think we're the ones to do that..."
...
In the hole of a dead tree, a black winter rose grew out from the wet soil inside. A single snowflake slipped in from the cold winter breeze and landed on its delicate petals... and even though the snowflake melted, the rose bloomed.
A clear sign of the growing love between two parallel spirits.
