The Beta's Unwanted Mate One Shot

Chapter one- It all happened because of a fair

Chris was singing to pinks song who know in a very off-key voice "You took my hand and showed me how, you promised me youd be around, uh huh. Thats right." Alissa laughed at his sing and told him to be quiet, that people were staring. Chris just looked at her and got louder with his singing "I took your words and I believed, in everything you said to me, yeah uh, thats right, if someone said three years from now, youd be long gone, Id stand up and punch them out, cause theyre all wrong." Alissa gave up on trying to make him stop so when he looked at her she started to sing the next few lines in an on key voice "I know better, cause you said forever, and ever, who know, remember when we were such fools, and so convinced and just too cool." Chris took over the rest and Alissa just hummed along with him as he made a fool out of himself.

Chris and Alissa got closer to the food carts when they heard Chriss stomach rumble, he looked at Alissa with a guilty look and ran over to get some of the food that they were selling. Not long after Chris left Alissa smelt a smell that had her inhaling more and her mouth watered, it was honey and vanilla scented, but she couldnt find the source of where it was coming from so she sat on the bench opposite of where Chris was getting food. The scent got stronger the closer Chris got to her and she was confused as to why, normally he smelt like sandalwood and mint and when she went for her drink she accidentally spilt it on Chris, but before she spilt it her hand graced his and there was nothing no sparks, no butterflies so she assumed that a girl had bumped Chris and her scent had transferred over onto him. Before Alissa though much of it she took of running away from Chris as he started to yell her name and that she was going to be sorry for what she did, not many people moved out of the way, so she had to shift her body weight from foot to foot to move around those surrounding her. Alissa kept running until she smelt the scent of honey and vanilla again which had her running faster to find where it was coming from.

But what Alissa hadnt anticipated was that Chris could catch up to her quickly, she squealed and bumped into a body that had her hands and arms feeling like fireworks were erupting under her skin and her stomach to fill with butterflies. They fell to the ground with Alissa laying on top of a girl with milk chocolate skin, ebony coloured hair, dark brown eyes that were almost black, about 5:6 and tan lipstick on, she wore a light purple dress and black ankle boots. They laid on the dirt for what felt like centuries but was only minutes, just staring into each others eyes, feeling the full impact of what the mate bond was trying to connect their wolves. Alissa heard a girl that looked a little like the girl she was laying on speak up "Aw look Liam, they are staring into each others eyes like we do, they must be mates." Alissa quickly got up and tried to turn around, so she could run and hid behind Chris who wasnt that far away witnessing the whole thing play out, when Alissa felt someone caught hold of her wrist and pulled on it slightly as a way of getting attention. "Where are you going mate, my name is Patricia if you wanted to know."

Alissa turned and looked at Patricia with shock clearly written all over her face, her mate was talking to her and she could feel her stomach filling up with butterflies again and at a slightly more intense force. Alissa shyly smiled and mumbled what her name was, before trying to pull away again so she could hide. Patricia pick up that her mate was shy, so she pulled her in for a hug and put her jacket on the slightly smaller girl who had dark chocolate brown hair, pale blue doe eyes, olive skin tone, about 5:5, she had freckles running down her nose, she wore a pale pink spaghetti strapped singlet with some denim wash blue shorts and a pair of black Nike runners. Patricias mate snuggled into her and took in her scent of roses and chocolate. Instead of letting Patricia go Alissa turned her head to Chris who she had forgotten, and mind linked him to say that he should follow Patricia and the other two who she didnt know the names of yet.

Chris nodded his head and spoke aloud, so everyone could hear him "Why dont we all go on the bumper cars? I heard its fun when you want to relive some pent-up feelings." Everyone agreed and walked to the right of where they were at that moment, Patricia was the first to speak up "The couple in front of us is my cousin and her mate Sarah and Liam." Alissa nodded and said that the man with her was her best friend Chris, Patricia smiled and placed a kiss on Alissas head before they went their separate ways to get in a bumper car. After the bumper cars they all went and played some games and ended the night on the fairest wheel which had Patricia saying something that made Alissa blush like crazy "Alissa did you know they call this the fairest wheel, because they knew one day a beauty fair greater than the rest would get on it and have a great time with the person that cares about her the most."

Alissa smiled and looked down at her lap trying to hide from her mate but was only to have a hand placed on her chin and pull it up so she was looking straight into Patricias eyes when she lent forward and kissed her, it was better than anyone had ever said what it was like to kiss their mate. The kiss was filled with passion, love and fear but it felt as though her skin was on fire, Alissas toes curled up under her and she pushed herself closer to Patricia to see if her body would react differently and it did she had a feeling that something was pulling her towards Patricia to the point that Alissa feared that she would end up in her lap. Pulling away they both smiled and exchanged numbers and left with who they came to the fair with but promised that they would call and text each other the next day.
