Chapter 1

Since I became old enough to handle the mask I got permission to join a Guild. A Guild is a place where you learn and train. You also take on quests to help people.

Today is my first day. It feels like I'm going to the first day of school. I'm all nervous. There were quiet a lot of people here who I didn't knew. My biggest problem. I'm socially awkward.

The guild was for the biggest part underground. I needed to go to Omega. He's the guild master. Another problem. I had no idea where to go. He would tell me what to do for today so I can start my training. I looked around a bit, mostly staying in the background.

A girl walked up to me and asked me: "You're new here aren't you?"

"Yes I am." I replied. "Was it that obvious?"

"You were walking around like a little puppy inside a lion's den, so yes." she replied. "You need to talk to Omega I guess so follow me."

"Okay." I replied nervously.

We entered through a big door and there was a man sitting behind a table talking to two people in front of him. A blond tall guy and somewhat shorter colored girl with short black curly hair.

"So I want you guys to go see Madame Aroma for this personal quest she asked us to do." he said. He looked past them and seemed to notice us. "I'll give you guys some information on it later. Now I have a new member of the Guild to welcome." he said.

The two teens turned around. The girl had a warm and welcoming smile but the guy looked coldly at me.

"Oh hi, my name is Shauntal and this is Jerry. " she said.

"Hi, I'm Robyn." I replied.

Jerry turned his head away. "Can we go?" He said with a bitter tone in his voice. Omega nodded.

"Yes for now you're dismissed" the two teens walked away.

"Nice to meet you Robyn" Shauntal said as she passed me and smiled before she went after Jerry.

"Don't mind Jerry" the girl who brought me said. "He isn't really a fan of newbies. I'm Natalie by the way" she said.

"Robyn" I replied automatically. I knew she heard it the first time but it just goes automatic. I became aware of Omega waiting. I walked up to Omega and stood there a bit awkwardly.

"So this is your first time in a guild?" he asked.

"Yes sir." I said nervously.

"Sir? Just call me Omega. If you don't know, my grandfather made this guild not only to help others but also to become a place that people can call home. Here we are a family, we are connected to one another. You are now part of this family. As you already noticed not all people here take well of newcomers. Please forgive them for that. They have a good heart but you may have to proof yourself to them. Robyn give me your hand." he said. I raised my hand and placed it in his. He placed his finger on my hand and made a sign. There was a yellow glow and I had a light blue mark on my hand. "This is our Guilds mark. It will not fade as long as your part of us." he said.

"Now you're officially a member of our guild." Natalie said.

"Now Natalie go and show Robyn around. And if you can, help her find her first quest." Omega said.

Natatlie nodded.

"Alright Omega. Come on Robyn" she said and walked to the door. I quickly followed her out. I kept glancing to the mark a few times. It was pretty cool to have it. We went to the lowest floor first.

"Here is the training field" she said. "We can all train here to become stronger or find out new powers. Also if you want to battle someone you can do that here as well" I looked around. It was at least 20 meters high and as big as a football field.

We went upstairs to a higher floor. "Here is the main part of the guild. The members come here to rest en enjoy themselves a bit." We were in a big room and it looked like a bit like a bar. Tables were through the room and a small wooden bar was off of the side. Also a stage at the back was there and there were people teasing each other. It actually looked pretty fun here.

Natalie showed me two more floors. The one where Omega is and a few sleeping quarters. She explained some of the members are walk aways or orphans. They live in the guild. The last floor had the infirmary and the request bords.

"Let's try this one first okay?" she asked. The quest said that a boy has lost his Lillipup in the woods.

"Okay that seems pretty easy." I replied.

"Yay! Now let's look for a third member." she said.

"A third member?" I asked.

"Yes all beginner quest groups should exist out of three member. When you are strong enough you can take quests on your own if you want to." she replied.

"You're new too?" I asked.

"Not new but I haven't been here that long." she replied. "Maybe he wants to join?" She pointed at a boy who seemed my age. He had blond hair and his sign was on his upper arm. I wonder where the sign of Natalie is on her body. I looked at her for a second and there it was on her......her left breast. Now I wonder if Omega actually touched her there.

I quickly shook off the thought.

"Can you ask him?" I asked.

"No. Ask yourself!" She said grinning. My eyes grew twice their size.

"No way! I can't do that!" I shrieked. "I'll just make a fool of myself then!"

She shrugged, not looking like she cared. She gave me a hard push into his direction. I stumbled trying not to fall and failing miserably. A pair of strong arms caught me and lifted me up before I hit the ground.

"You okay?" The one who caught me asked. I looked up blushing in embarrassment.

"Y-Yes. I'm so sorry. Thanks f-for catching me" I said. It was the blond boy who caught me. He has cerulean blue eyes and messy blond hair. Scuffy handsome more.

"No problem. I'm Thomas. You're new here aren't you?" He said. I nodded straightening up.

"Yes. I'm Robyn. Nice to meet you" I said a bit awkward. He smiled a crooked smile to me. Oh almost forgot! "Uhm Thomas? Me and Natalie wanted to do a quest...I uh we wondered if you wanted to join us.. if you would like to" I said softly looking nervous to my feet. He just grins and nodded.

"Sure why not" he said.

And just like that, the three of us headed out to where the quest led us.
