Shota Aizawa was a teacher at UA high school, and didn't often get out for hero work anymore. One night, however, he was full of energy, and decided to take a walk. Not a hero walk- just a walk. For fresh air.
He was walking by a grocery store when a commotion began to arise. He ran to the opposite side of the store and began to look for the source of the upheaval. It didn't take him long to find it.
A lady was being robbed, by a masked robber with a quirk allowing him to breathe ice. He repeatedly threatened to freeze her to death if she didn't give up her purse. She was about to give up, when Aizawa entered the scene.
"Leave her alone," he said quite simply. "I don't want trouble, but apparently you do."
The guy chuckled, turning towards Aizawa. "Let me take care of you."
He began to breathe ice, but Aizawa used his quirk to erase his ice-breathing quirk. When the man got confused, Aizawa punched him in the face, completely knocking him out.
He gave a half-hearted wave, and began to walk in the opposite direction, back towards the store.
"Wait up!" the woman called, running towards Aizawa. He groaned.
"Thanks for helping me," she said, almost caught up to him.
"Don't thank me. It makes me feel weird. I work in the shadows, for the sole purpose of not being seen."
"But I would've been stuck in a tight spot! That was my weakness back there," she continued.
In Aizawa's opinion, this was an odd choice of words. He turned, confused.
"I don't do tight spaces. That alleyway was hindering my quirk."
It was Mt. Lady.
Aizawa, uninterested in the other hero's words, kept walking. "If you really want to follow me, why don't you buy me something to eat? I'm getting food from the store, but I could always use a snack... and a nap."
Mt. Lady pondered the idea. "Usually I leave my purse at home so I can mooch off of people, but you did help me out. What are you in the mood for?"
Aizawa, surprised she actually offered, shrugged. "Ice cream sound alright to you?"
Mt. Lady nodded. "I would love to," she murmured lovingly.
"Jeez, you make it sound like a date or something..." Aizawa muttered in reply.
"I've been waiting for this one."
"That's creepy," Shota said, backing off a bit.
Mt. Lady shrugged. "Us newbies have you guys to look up to. The Eraser Head is walking next to me."
"Who are you again?" Eraserhead asked, to get her to back off.
"Everyone calls me Mt. Lady, but you can call me Takeyama Yuu."
"Great. You're one of those that reveals their identity to get with someone," Aizawa marveled sarcastically.
"Mmm... No. Honestly, I'd much rather be at home, but I came to get something to eat. Looks like it turned out to be productive."
Aizawa gazed at her. "You'd rather be home too? I wish I didn't have to go to that school every day, but it does give me something to look forward to."
Takeyama inched closer to Aizawa as they walked towards the store.

Later, after the two went shopping for their weekly necessities, they found a restaurant that hadn't shut down for the night (it was about midnight). They went inside, Aizawa (admittedly) enjoying himself more than was normal for him.
"Oh... That's not good," Yuu said at the counter, digging through her purse. "It seems I only have enough money for one."
"It had better be mine," Aizawa joked, but she couldn't really tell it was a joke because of Aizawa's demeanor.
"Well... We could share one," Yu muttered. Aizawa raised an eyebrow, and Takeyama shrugged. "Just a suggestion."
Aizawa rolled his eyes. "What kind do you want?" he asked.
"Ummm... Y-you decide," Yuu replied, flustered.
"I'll eat anything that is edible for anyone except for strawberries. Stop getting blushy and decide on what yuu want."
"Was that a pun?"
"Yes it was."
Takeyama began to gaze about the flavors on the list, looking for anything that normal people liked. She could suggest her favorite...
"What about cookie dough?" she asked.
"You actually like that stuff?" Aizawa asked.
"I mean... It's my favorite, but I can-"
Aizawa moved in closer to her, and her eyes widened. "It's free real estate."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"I said it's my favorite too. You should get it."
Takeyama rolled her eyes, paying the clerk the money for their treat.
Moments later, the two found themselves sitting next to each other. Aizawa had made an attempt to sit across from her, but she followed him, cornering him inside the booth. Yuu leaned her head on Aizawa's shoulder, and he stared forward.
"You haven't eaten much ice-cream, my guy. Something up?"
Aizawa shrugged. "Tired. Always tired, though."
He grabbed his spoon and took three bites, totalling somewhere near ten, as opposed to Mt. Lady's fifty or so. This only confused her more, because Aizawa had made it clear how famished he was earlier.

"Are we a thing now?" Takeyama inquired sweetly, as they walked home.
"I suppose that's what they call it," he replied, bluntly.
Yuu backed off, afraid she might be annoying him. She was always lazy, relying on others' help. She wanted to accomplish something for once, and she felt that Aizawa would be her perfect match. It was destiny that they met, in her opinion.
They soon reached Aizawa's house, and he retrieved his key from his pocket. They entered together, Shouta allowing Takeyama in first, then closing the door.
Yuu surprised him with a hug. Not the kind of hug you give your new boyfriend, but the kind of hug you get when you know the night is about to begin. But Aizawa stepped back.
"Wha-"
"I'm sorry!"
"I- I don't like hugs, so..."
Yuu gazed down at her feet. "I just wanted a hug..."
Aizawa sighed, and walked towards his kitchen.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" Takeyama blurted.
"Seven different STD's, all beginning with the letter H."
"What?!"
"Nothing, why?"
"Y-you keep backing off like I'm some little bitch, or something! I really like you. Why can't you see that?! Get it through your head, I am gonna be your girlfriend!"
"Never had one."
"You know what? Bullshit."
Aizawa glanced at her, then turned away. "Maybe you should just go home. This is another mistake on my part." No sooner than he'd said it, he realized it, and shook his head, cursing under his breath.
"...Another?" Takeyama inquired, taking a step closer.
"Go home. I don't think this is going as well as I had planned, which wasn't well in the first place."
"Tell me what happened," Yuu growled, taking a step forward. "I want details as juicy as my thighs."
Aizawa looked her thighs for a brief second, and she caught him. "I knew you would."
Aizawa sighed, this time less agitated, and more sad. "When I was in high school... UA to be exact... I was always in the back of the classroom, where no one could see me. I still always use the shadows to my advantage. However, there was once a ray of sunshine in my life."
Yuu stiffened.
"She was gorgeous. She loved me when no one else did. Crazy about me. And she was popular, so she caught heat for it, big-time. She didn't care though. Still stuck with me, for some reason."
Aizawa, to Takeyama's surprise, gave a big smile.
"I loved her too. She was the reason I kept myself shaved and clean, the reason everyone started to come around to me. Of course..."
His dopey smile slowly faded. "... Nothing lasts forever. She wanted to have kids, but I was pretty strongly against it. We started to argue, not over that, but with anger that stemmed from that. Then, one day..."
Aizawa's face had become a twisted grimace. He sniffed, and said, "She said we should see other people. We weren't even out of high school, but this girl was the one, and so much anger had stemmed from a problem for a later date. And I- I should have been there for her, and she was so good to me, then I took her heart and smashed it between my cold and disheartening grasp, and I told her..."
He directed his teary-eyed gaze at Yuu. "...I told her that she was a low-life. I called her a bitch, and I left her crying. I was so angry, and I just ruined her, so she... she..."
Yuu's eyes widened. "She didn't."
Aizawa traced his finger across his throat.
"But... You were just angry... She had every reason not to do that..."
Aizawa wiped his nose, and re-hardened himself. "It doesn't pay to be mean I guess. You want some coffee?"
"That's it? You don't want, like, a second chance, or a... a better time, or-"
"I don't want to leave another girl in the dust, crying, or worse... Just... Go home. It's for you, not me."
"I'm sorry, but now that I know all this, I can't leave a... classic hero like you alone to sulk."
"I'm twenty-eight."
"Ouch. Umm... I'm just saying, I don't want you to be alone. I like you a lot... Too much to leave."
After an awkward moment of silence, Aizawa shrugged. "Decaf?"
Takeyama chuckled. "Do you have hot chocolate?"
Aizawa nodded, and the two soon found themselves on Aizawa's bed, sitting and watching anime as they sipped away at their drinks. When they finished, Aizawa began to drift off to sleep. Mt. Lady spooned him, and he smiled, drifting off into a dream that would not soon end halfway.
