Mikaela’s POV
“haha how fun!” The young girl giggles her white hair is stained with blood “You look so scared don’t worry I might make this one quick”
“… go ahead kill me If you want… just leave my friends alone…” this fight has been going on for hours this girl is too strong… even for me I have to do something because Shinoa is sick and Yuu and the rest won’t be able to beat her I must do something
“But why? I’m having so much fun!” she giggles and smiles psychotically like this is some sort of sick game to her
“because they’re all innocent you must have some form of empathy” I keep arguing somehow, she hasn’t killed me yet I’m surprised
“well… I guess your right… and you’re kinda cute hehe, fine how about I spare all of you only if you let me travel with you” she said my face was slightly flushed but I shook it off why does she wanna stay with us?
“… if I let you, you won’t hurt anyone?” I look at her seriously
“nah I guess not, it makes us some sort of a team, right?” she asked
“yes…” I responded but avoided looking at her
“ok then” she helps me up “I’m sorry for attacking you I tend to just go overboard”
“overboard? What do you mean by that” I accept her help and dust myself off
“Oh well… somethings happened to me when I was little it messed up my head and I just kill people for no reason… I came out here to try and make friends I want to know more about being human” she explains
“what sort of things happened?” I asked her
“… I don’t wanna talk about it” she looks away and plays with her fingers
“oh, I see… I won’t ask then” I responded trying not to upset her
“thanks… um so where are we going?” she kicks the ground shyly she almost seems to be a different person now
“home” I responded quickly and started walking
“how far is home?” she ran to get closer to me she seems kind of… startled
“not very far… why?”
“… we better hurry because something big is coming our way”
“what do you mean? A horseman?” I look around
“no” she shakes her head “there’s multiple people all in one big group”
“how do you know all this?” I look around anxiously if it’s the moon demon army we’re fucked
“I saw them while I was walking there were about ten of them”
“ok then… come on” I take her hand and lead her to our home “don’t tell anyone that we fought ok?”
“ok…” she looks down and avoids eye contact
“Ah! I forgot to ask what’s your name?”
“My name is Yuki what’s yours?”
“Mikaela” I smile at her then drop her hand and quickly lift up the trap door that hides us “go down there I’ll meet you”
“o-ok” she jumped down as I followed and put the door back
“it-its dark” she clings to me, one minute ago she was emotionlessly trying to kill me now she’s acting shy and innocent… something really bad must’ve happened to her
“it’s ok no need to be afraid” I open the door in front of us
“o-oh I can see now” she lets go of my arm
“good” I walk in as she follows
“MIKA YOU’RE BACK!!!” Yuu ran up and tackle hugged me
“ack! Yuu!!!!!” I try to struggle away
“WHERE WERE YOU?????”
“out”
“u-uhh… hello” Yuki looks at Yuu
“Mika… YOU BROUGHT A GIRL?!?!”
I sigh “Yuu please get a hold of yourself she’s shy
“oh ok”
“u-uhh Mikaela? Are you alright?” she looks worried
“yeah Yuu always does this” I push him off me
“oh, ok um is there anything I can help with?”
“nothing really” I sigh
“uh you said your friend was sick”
“yeah why?”
“I could help”
“really now?”
“uh huh”
“REALLY YOU CAN HELP SHINOA?!?!?!”
“yes…” Yuki shyly plays with her hair
“Yuu you’re scaring her” I sigh
“Oops sorry miss” Yuu scratches the back of his head
“I-its ok” she keeps playing with her hair
“right I’ll take you to Shinoa” I glance to her
“alright” she nods
I walk forward into a room only to be greeted by Mitsuba, Shiho, Yoichi and the sick Shinoa “hello everyone we have a guest here today”
“do we? Is it another boy?” Mitsuba asked unamused
“no actually it’s a girl and she’s quite shy so be nice ok?” I smile gently to them “Yuki you can come in now!”
“o-ok…” Yuki walks in playing with her blood-stained hair witch she has been for awhile
“hello there I’m Mitsuba this is Yoichi, Shiho and Shinoa” Mitsuba warmly smiled to our new member
Yuki walks over to Shinoa and sits down she gently places her hand on her forehead “hmm… how long has she been like this?” Yuki looked to me
“uh… about a week now…”
“that’s bad… has she gotten medicine?” she looks serious
“we’ve been looking but haven’t found anything…”
“alright can you bring me whatever herbs you have?”
“ok” I sigh and walk out of the room
“is she going to be alright?” Mitsuba looked to Yuki
“hopefully yes” She sighed gently
Yuki’s POV
Mikaela comes back with everything I need it’s a good thing I know my herbs “thank you Mikaela”
“woah I haven’t heard anyone call you that in a while Mika” Yoichi looks over
“hmm? Isn’t that his name?” I blink at him
“yeah that’s my name but everyone calls me Mika instead but its fine to call me Mikaela” Mikaela laughs nervously
“ah that makes since you have a cute nickname Mikaela” I giggle and smile
“aww that’s cute” Mitsuba looks to Mikaela and me
“what?” Mikaela’s face turns bright red
“haha I won’t deny it” I smile and start mixing the herbs together to make the medicine after awhile it is finished “here make her drink this it will help”
“alright!” Mitsuba gets Shinoa to drink the medicine and she gags
“I didn’t guarantee that it would taste good but its helping you” I smile
Mika just sits there quietly and his face is flushed “…”
“Mikaela are you alright?” I look over to him
“yes…” he squeaks
“your face is red, here let me see” I put my hand on his forehead “are you sure you’re ok? You’re burning up”
“I-I uh…” His face turned redder and he passes out
“Mikaela!!!” I panic
“What happened?!” Everyone rushes in
“Mikaela just randomly collapsed” I put my hand to his fore head
“oh no how?” Yoichi asked
“I don’t know he just did randomly” I panic
“is he breathing???” Mitsuba asked
“Yeah I think so… maybe he just needs rest” I sigh
