Thunderstorms were the bane of your existence. You hated them. Now, hate's a strong word that was only meant to describe how you felt about a certain politician or in this case, thunderstorms.

You could get all psychologist on yourself and say that this fear dates back to the deep childhood trauma you'd experienced with your weirdly religious father. Yet in this case you would just say they were loud and brilliant; your complete opposite.

So naturally, the man who's Tower you lived in as a sort of witness protection program had to invite the roaring God of Thunder to live with the rest of the team. As Thor moved in, any chance of a good night's sleep moved out.

You didn't like the God Of Thunder. He was too loud, too eccentric and upon reading a good book he would slam it to the ground in habit before sheepishly picking it up and pretending nothing had happened. You didn't not like him—you two just couldn't get along.

But you put up with him nonetheless, and if not for yourself, for Tony's sake. So now, sitting on the couch with the rest of the team of heroes, you couldn't help but glare in the general direction of the long-haired thunderer.

Eventually, Thor grew tired of your antics. "Do you have a problem?"

"No," you murmured softly before looking down, avoiding his intense gaze.

"Okay." He nodded before indulging himself back into conversation with the team.

Boom! Thunder crackled and out of habit you shrieked. All eyes were on you.

"Are you alright?" Nat asked with a tilt of her head.

"Yeah, yeah, fine..." you trailed off looking for an excuse, "it just startled me."

She slowly nodded in agreement before turning back to Clint, who had knocked an electric arrow that Thor was going to charge.

You shook your head at their childish antics and moved to the downstairs archives. You preferred it down here. It was quiet with less people and of course, there were books everywhere. It was practically heaven on Earth, or was, until Thor arrived at the Tower.

Booming footsteps tore you out of the Thor induced trance and forced you to look up. "Lady y/n, I'm sorry if I scared you earlier."

"You didn't s-scare me," you stared down the god, "I was startled from the sudden loud noise. Nothing scary at all."

"The look on your face says otherwise," he joked but you didn't find it funny. An arrogant smirk found its way to his lips, "but if you're not afraid of thunder, then I guess it would be okay for me to summon it in your company, correct?"

You could only nod, already knowing how it would turn out.

You watched in anticipated fear as Thor raised his hammer to the sky and a loud boom ripped through the room. Naturally, you let out a small screech but kept as still as possible, despite your shaking.

Thor looked concerned. "Are you alright, then? You don't have to lie about it, everyone is afraid of something."

"It's just a bit of thunder, Thor. Nothing to be afraid of," you tried to smile but your teeth chattered from how you were shaking.
