It started a while back, when I thought I had found love, the days when I smiled the most
Daniel came over by my locker and proposed to me, that was the sweetest thing ever, he had a basket filled with my favourite candy bars and a flower in this other hand, it was days before spring ball, this was a day greatly anticipated by every sophomore including me. He had the basketball team raise a banner which read "would you go to spring ball with me?", Overwhelmed with joy I reached out to him and kissed his cheek and he smiled and shouted "she said yes"
Weeks later, it was the day we all prepared long for, he came over to my house in a red sport and took me off my feet and into his car, I felt like Cinderella.. Silly me, we arrived later during the dance but trust me we stole the attention of all, at first we took our seats along with the rest of the basketball team and my cheerleading squad..we were like the king and queen of prep high..and it felt right..
After a while, Daniel went off to a corner with Roger his best buddies while I continued to dance with Nancy, minutes came and left and I became worried, so I went off in search of Daniel..after a while I got tired so I went to the cafeteria to look for a snack and there right there in front of me, my spirit left my body💔
