~Prologue~

*Belle's P.O.V*

I woke up on the floor. What happened? I sat up straight, but realized that I had done it too quickly because my head pounded. As I brought my hand up to my forehead it grazed my cheek and I jumped. What the hell happened to my cheek? Then I remembered. My dad. Wait, where was he? He was drunk! It wasn't good for him to be out alone! I quickly shot up ignoring the pain that shot through my body and ran down stairs. I was about to go out the door when something on the TV news caught my eye.

"In other breaking news, Kelly Myers, (39), and Michael, (8), were killed today in a head on collision out front of Parkside Elementary. Witnesses say that Kelly had been pulling out of the parking lot when a car ran a stop sign intentionally and collided with the Myers', instantly killing both citizens in the car. The killer quickly sped off in his car seeming un-harmed.The police were chasing the car, but lost its trail when they reached the highway. The driver of the car wasn't identified but the car itself was. It was described as rusty and old. The color was black and it was a 1980's pick up truck with a 'Disney World' bumper sticker on the back.
