While Paul was getting his things out of the boxes and crying along the memories of his past were coming back to his head, in the other part of the town, to be precise, in the chapel a group of people were discussing something highly important to talk and debate about. They didn't tend to do these meetings often; actually they barely do meetings at all, but this time the matter to aboard was rare enough to do it. In Hills Valley its population was devoted to a particular deity, they called it mother. And mother had some specific requests in order to give the townsfolk what they supplicated. The principal thing she asked for was blood. She loved blood; its heavy and dense coppery flavor was something she could take every day. Deer's blood was a common offering they give to her, because around the area was plenty of them. Since ancient times it was a labor the devoted people had been doing, and she was thankful about that, therefore the valley was a beautiful place. The flora was rich in order to be eaten by animals such as deer and human.

"Mother is angry," a man with a blue hood said in front of lots of people, around fifty. They were inside the chapel, wearing a white coat. Every one was sitting down and paying attention to the man with the blue coat and the hood. "We need to offer her some more blood. She is demanding us to!" He yelled.

"But we fed her yesterday in the woods." A man with a big and white beard stood up and replied.

"That wasn't enough, mother had talked to me at midnight," the hoodied guy who seemed to be the leader said. "She came to my dreams and showed me how angry and hungry she is." The people in front of him were silent. He could hear their breathing. They knew that mother used dreams to communicate, and everybody had seen her in her dreams. Some said was an old lady, others said was a young woman, but they all agreed with her eyes and her beauty.

"What did she show you?" An old and fat lady asked him while she maintained in her seat.

The man fixed his eyes on the lady and said, "She showed me the house." Every one knew what house he was talking about. The house by the lake, the one that is connected to her. "She said she's hungry, but this time neither deer nor any other type of animal would not fulfill the emptiness in her."

All the old faces looked to each other (the crowed was a mix between young and old people, most of them were families), and Jerry was among them, "Don't worry, pals, I know what's going on yer heads, but motha is asking this fo' one reason, and y'all know that."

"Thank you, Jerry," Leader said. "She said there is nothing to be afraid of, specially for the old ones."

Decades ago something similar happened in town, but were two brothers instead of a single man, and was part of the valley's history that no one wanted to remember.

"Did mother, told why she's angry?" A young guy around 15 asked. His skin was pale and his eyes cold as ice. No doubt he was the youngest there.

"Yeah, was it our fault?" Some one lost in the crowed asked.

"Yes, she in deed told me the reason why is so angry. And it has nothing to be with us." The hooded man replied to the questions. "The man living there is the culprit, he had committed an act that any son should not have done, and the new owner had made the house a dishonorable place," his voice was getting louder. "And that my brothers and sisters, is something we cannot permit. Mother was clear in my dream, and she wants his blood. I invite you to follow her request with pleasure, and enjoy the future gifts she will bring to us. She confirmed to be grateful toward our petitions."

And that was something unquestionable, when mother asked for help, she would be willing to bring something big in exchange. Back in the 2000, Ritter wanted to start a real estate business, and in the end of year, his wish had came true and the same happened to Rita and many others the same year.
