I stared out the tinted window of the Limousine, and huffed.
"Mikaelson, how much longer until we get there?"
"Not much longer, Ms. Johnson"
I slumped back into my seat, evaluating my current situation.
Why did Alexa really need to move into the countryside?
Alexa was my mom, but I liked to call her by her first name. She's now engaged to a man who wants them to move out into the middle of nowhere.
The car stopped, jolting me out of my thoughts.
"Jesus Mikaelson! There goes your tip for the day."
"Sorry, Ms. Johnson."
I leaned forward and looked out to see why we had stopped. Laying in front of us, was a doe, lifeless and bloody.
Mikaelson stepped outside to inspect the damage.
"I hope it didn't scratch the paint."
I wanted to snap at him, but i thought better of it.
"We're alright"
He stepped back into the car, and drove around the doe.
As we pulled away, I couldn't help but notice the small fawn, standing emotionlessly snowflakes swirling around it.
I couldn't help but think of my mom. I looked like that poor deer when I found out my mom had passed. I shook my head and thought of Alexa. Sure, she was my mom now, but she'll never replace the black hole that had dug it's way inside me when my real mom died.
An hour later...
We pulled up in front of a rather large and rustic townhouse. Alexa stepped out into the snow and greeted her,
"Lilly! I was wondering when you'd be here..."
I glanced at Alexa, and gave her a small smile, but her attention had already shifted onto Mikaelson, who was unloading her many bags.
"Mikaelson! Why are you late? You have to drive me into town for the press conference remember?"
"Sorry ma'am, we had a small hitch."
"And what would tha- oh you know what, never mind."
She hopped into the limo, and Mikaelson got in. Seconds later, they were gone.
I turned my attention back to the house. It sucked. Sure it seemed charming, but it was nothing compared to their penthouse back in Hollywood.
I strolled inside, expecting a welcome home banner, or news reporters snapping pictures of me, but it was dead silent.
"Ummmm hello?"
"Yeah, coming!"
A boy around her age ran downstairs, and grinned at her.
"Oh hey, you're mom's daughter right?"
I shifted, shocked that he was already calling Alexa mom.
"If you mean Alexa, then yes."
He looked at me quizzically, then shrugged.
"Anyways, cmon upstairs, I'll show you your room."
I followed him up the simple staircase and into a small room with a pink door.
"What the hell is this?"
He looked at me, with a look of shock and fear mixed into his face.
"Uh y-your room."
"This is a joke, right?"
"N-no, this is really your room"
I looked around. It was pretty small, a twin sized bed with a small desk in the corner.
"Where's the vanity? And the walk-in closet? And the bathroom?"
He shifted uncomfortably.
"W-what's a vanity? Oh, and uh, also... you don't have a closet. You're using the dresser right there... And we all share a bathroom down the hall..."
A squeak of surprise left my mouth as I stared at him.
"You're shitting me right?"
"I, uh, no..."
I hugged past him and flounced on the bed.
"Wi-Fi password please."
"W-what?"
"You have Wi-Fi here right?"
"Oh. Yeah. It's bestdoglover373"
"Pft, that's pretty lame."
He shifted uncomfortably.
"Oh yeah, I'm Elijah by the way. You can call me Eli."
I looked up and snorted at him.
"I stopped listening after you gave me the Wi-Fi password."
He looked hurt, and ran away probably to his own room.
I looked around after he was gone, and saw nothing to do, so I texted my BFF Casey.
Me: hey girl
Casey: omg about time!
Me: Sorry, got busy.
Casey: it's okay girl.
Me: there's this funky looking boy here. Total weirdo.
Casey: O M G girl, r u being stalked??
Me: hah, not in that way. He can be though. He's my half brother ig.
Casey: country boys are totally lame, tbh.
Me: doesn't take a nerd to figure that out.
Casey: gtg girlie, hope the freak doesn't show u pics of cows, or whatever shit country boys like.
Me: byeee
