Kyai was still annoyed by that Omega that barged into class earlier. It would have been hilarious if he actually broke down in tears. She sighed as she took another bite of her sandwich. The cafeteria was packed but luckily they had the sense to stay away from her table. She was not looking to be bothered. But then there it was. Trouble. Trouble from a mile away and she knew. A boy with bright yellow irises that you could see in the dark was making their way over to her. He had Auburn hair which looked a bit wild but it suited him. He plopped down on the seat in front of her and held her stare. Was this a dominance competition? She thought.
"Hi. I'm Gabriel " This caught her off guard but she didn't break eye contact.
"Kyai." She said rather intensely. After a few seconds, the teen smiled brightly. This caught her off guard again.
"I like you. We're going to be great friends," he declared confidentially. She can't seem to predict his next move.
"I don't have friends," she broke away from the silent competition and snarled. He didn't flinch.
"Well now you have me," he wasn't backing down. She looked him over to see what she could glean from this character. Dirty red converse shoes, ripped jeans, a wrinkly black t-shirt with some kind of image on it, and a new red backpack. The same kid who was putting the paper clips in the boy's hair.
"You're that kid who put those paper clips in that girl's hair right?" He looked surprised.
"Yeah I did," he said shamelessly. Strange thing to be proud of but maybe he won't be so horrible to hang with.
"Alright. I'll be your friend."
"Yes!" He cheered happily. She quickly tried to quiet him down.
"But no embarrassing me," she growled.
"I'll try. No promises!"
~~~~~~~~Gabriel Pov~~~~~~~
He saw her from a mile away. Eyes like a glass of whiskey. Tanned skin that held warmth. Copper red hair in a bob cut. He's seen eyes like hers. Eyes that hold painful truths. He saw them every time he looked in a mirror. Getting close is a risk but he needs a friend in this game.He sniffs the air as he sits down. The mash of all the other scents In the cafeteria make it hard but none of them are as intense as hers. A strong orange scent mixed with something else he cannot tell. The game just got more dangerous. He won't back down.
