Part 10

After a few weeks...

Finally, I can go home now. But there's a problem and it's Bruce. He wants me to stay in his mansion. Mom agreed because 'for me and the baby's safety' and do you know how she knew I was pregnant? When I removed my hospital clothes, I forgot about the paper, and it fell as I haven't noticed it.

I saw mom holding it with a tight grasp. She has been ranting about her getting a grandchild without her knowing and her being old, pfft hahahahaha. It was really funny but Bruce have to butt in our conversation. I am a little excited but still a bit tired about this and I'm frustrated.

Mom knows about the 'stranger-danger' thing and I think she lost her mind of just accepting an offer from someone famous, that is well-known but he's still a stranger. But my gut says to trust him, I don't trust my gut and I think this will be a good idea if I listened to them, just this once.

"Alright.." I looked at Bruce with arms crossed and I made a look that made him frown. "Now that's settled, Mister Bruce please take care of my daughter" Mom smiled at me half-heartedly as she patted my shoulder. I shivered but relaxed after it.

"Come, our ride's waiting" Bruce gently pushed me as I followed him down stairs. I looked behind me as I bid mum and Pepe. I smiled and sighed heavily. They have disappeared when we got to another set of stairs. I felt my stomach growling and I held it tightly. "Shush!" I whispered and it roared in anger.

We got out as Bruce led me through a parking lot filled with vehicles. Seeing a really fancy car, it was the ride and I saw a door open as I saw someone got out and walked towards us. He bowed and looks at me. "Hello Alfred" Bruce said as I waved at them. "Hello Bruce and who might this be?" Alfred gestured and I reached my hand.

"(Y/n), it's a pleasure to meet you!" I greeted blissfully as he took it. "The pleasure is all mine" We both shook our hands as Bruce scoffed. "Now that Alfred's here, we should be headed off to the manor" I rolled my eyes as Alfred opened the door "Miss (Y/n)?" He gestured kindly as I gladly sat inside.

"Thank you Alfred" I said as He gradually nodded and Bruce sat beside me. I scooted over the other side and the car's door closed. Alfred started the engine after that the vehicle started to move. I sat in silence and waited for someone to start a conversation... No one? Welp, ok then.

I gulped and started. "So how is your day Alfred?" I askef. "S'well but it ended when a squirrel entered the kitchen and stealing a few fruits." He said in disappointment as I laughed. The conversation continued as Bruce looked out the window then towards me. I have noticed and looked at him which he turned back towards the window.

I can't help but smile when I saw him blush. Alfred also have seen it in the side mirror and chuckled. Bruce growled as he placed his hand in his chin making it like he was thinking of something.
