Role of My Dreams

"Hi Adelynn." Tony, my agent had just rung me.

"Any news about the part?" The nerves that ran through my body was unbelievable, I've played small parts in movies but this was my first time aiming for the main part.

"weeeelll." I didn't like the tone of his voice and the way he drew out the word. "I did get a call and they want you to come back and see if you have any chemistry with some males they have in mind for the lead."

My mouth fell agape. This was my dream, I can't believe this was actually happening, I get to play the lead in a movie! "Hey Adelynn, this is real no need to pinch yourself." Tony knew me too well.

I pulled myself together to manage a reply. "NO WAY! This is so, it's just really really amazing. Gosh! When do they want me to come down?" I was slowly starting to register to be able to ask a question.

"8am tomorrow morning."

"Okay cool, I'll be there."

He gave a little chuckle at me because I was obviously trying to contain myself. "Bye, congratulations girly."

"Bye." I managed in a whisper. As soon as I heard the beep indicating the end of the conversation I threw my hands in the air and let all my excitement rush out in my scream. I didn't care about the looks I was getting from the people walking around me. I couldn't help but run back to the apartment to tell my mother the great news.

"aww well done baby girl, I knew you could to it." mum said after a similar reaction to mine. "I knew moving from Australia would be a success because I believe in you."

"Thank you for sacrificing everything so my dream could happen." I jumped into my mothers arms and squeezed her tight.

"Hey Lynn, your dream is my dream too baby. And some things are better left behind." I knew she was referring to my father who cheated on my mum when I was 9 then left us for some girl almost half his age. I just try and forget about him now. I'm a 19 year old girl who hasn't needed her father for half of her life so I'm not letting any thoughts about him ever bring me down.

"I'm going to order in a pizza and we can watch a chick flick to celebrate." mum loved staying in and watching a movie and to tell you the truth so do I.

"That sounds perfect." I told her still not being able to wipe the smile from my face.

"Okay Adelynn, we have three possibilities so we are going to see which one you have the most chemistry with. You'll use those lines you've been practicing but this time with another person."

"Okay, got it." I was a bit scared but more excited about the months to come.

The first guy was a cute blonde haired boy with green eyes and a average built body. We didn't have full on chemistry but we would be able to work together. The second was a skinny black haired, dark blue eyed guy. We had absolutely nothing in common and he was a bit rude to everyone and afterwards the writer made a comment, "That kid was too skinny and harsh looking anyway and really I have no idea why we called him back. Lucky you had no connection." he laughed a little as he scribbled the kid's name off the list. Only one left.

It was about 5 minutes before I heard the final option walk in. I looked up and I was stunned. I knew there could be a chance that I'd meet an already accomplished actor but nothing this big. He made his way in the room with a big smile meeting his eyes. He had brown hair and eyes to match. He was shorter than most guys, about the same height as me. He had a more filled look than the last guy with strong arms, broad shoulders and his favourite feature of mine is that masculine jaw, which ti my amazement, looked better in person. My heart jumped a little when his eyes met mine for a few seconds. The pressure started to get to me though because with an actor as big as Josh Hutcherson is at the moment, I would have to make sure I was doing the best I possibly could. "Glad you could make it Josh, this is Adelynn, she'll be playing Sophie."
