Jullia's POV
It's my senior year, some of my friends had transfer schools, few of them were left. As I look myself in the mirror everyday, I think about what if someone would try to snatch me, kidnap me or worse, rape me? Will I be able to defend myself? No. Then I always remember my friend who joined a class 2 years ago that'll teach you some self-defense. "Liam." "Hey Jullia, how's summer?" He ask me. "It was great. Hey isn't 2 years ago you joined a class that can teach you self defense?" I ask him. He chuckles. "It wasen't really all self defense class Jullia, it's going to teach you an art of chinese, it's like dancing but with a bit boyish? I guess that's how you girls put it. But yeah, there are moves which are really for self defense." "If I were to join, will it still be possible?" I didn't really want to join, but I have to. It's for my safety. "Of course it is. It's only start of the year." He answered. I took a deep breath, "I want to join." He look surprised. "Is the Jullia finally gonna join something like these?" He teases. I wasen't really a boyish type of person. I'm more girly and not really for a class like this but I have to, if I still want to live if ever something happens to me. "Yes." I answered, firmly. "Good. But you have to get a permission from the sports office first. Then a try out. And if coach sees you have a potential joining then you're in." I nod my head. "Ok. Thank you." "No probs Jullia."
