POV Kevin

I started to wake up.I heard the sounds of beeping, talking, and I felt comfortable.Like I was in a-wait, I'm in a hospital aren't I.I hope everyone is alright. If anything happened to anyone.I would never forgive myself.I forced my eyes open.Once they knew I was awake people started to surround me.

The whole gang was there except for Mitch and Kirstie. Thank goodness I knew at least Scott and Avi were alive.

"Look who's up superman,"Avi said as he knelt by my left side.

"Yeah, whatever. Is everyone else okay?!"I started to say as I raised up in bed.

"Yes everyone is fine Kurvy,"Scott said with a smile.

"You did lose a lot of blood though. The doctor said you should be out in about two days,"Avi said patting my good shoulder. At least I wasn't shot near the heart. I was shot in the shoulder instead. At that moment I knew God was watching over me. I thanked God in silence as I put my head in my hands and started to cry in happiness a little.

"How is Kirst?"I asked as after the tears were gone and hoping she wasn't dead.

"She's a bit out of it, but she should be okay. You know you are really like our dad and Avi is like the mom. Thanks you so much for going in and saving her like that," Scott said as he patted my hand.

"It wasn't a problem,"I said.

"Thanks Mitch too for me. And well, actually it might have been a problem since I'm in the hospital and all," I said with a smile and a slight laugh. Avi and Scott laughed as they were about to leave the room.

"We're going to go and check on Mitch now," Avi said as they slowly started to walk out.

"Oh yeah, how's Mitch?"I asked nervous he wasn't still alive.

"He's fine, get some rest and we'll be here when you wake up," Scott told me.

"Now go back to sleep Kurvy and we'll leave you alone."Avi told me.

"Alright."I said.I then fell asleep. As the room went dark, I was thinking to myself that I'm glad I have the friends I do.

Scott POV

There was Mitch. He was sleeping peacefully in the hospital bed. I've never really watched him sleep before, but it made me tired too. He probably felt my presence because he jerked awake as soon as I touched his hand.

"Oh God, Scott! You scared me to death!"It didn't seem he was angry at me, just scared. I came over and hugged him. I never wanted to see him like this. In the hospital, looking as hurt as ever. I just couldn't stand it.

"Mitch, what happened?"I asked caringly.

"Well, after what looked like Kurvy had passed out from the blood loss, I got out my pepper spray and sprayed as much of it into his eyes as I could. He dropped the gun once I did that."

That is so like him, I thought.

"Then he stole Kevin's bat and started to beat me with it. I sprayed him again until he put the bat down. He put his hands in his eye like a needed a break, and thats when I took the bat and knocked him out wih it."He finished with a tired look on his face.

"Oh my gosh,"I said as I hugged him once more.

"Scott it's fine, it really didn't hurt."Mitch said. He was probably lying. I could tell because everytime he does he breaks eye contact for a second.

"The doctor said you could probably go home tomorrow, but just to make sure nothing severe happened two days." I said with a frown. I had a frown because he has gone through the stress with this along with the thoughts of Wyatt and not getting to see him.

"Avi and I are going to be switching off between you, Kevin, and Kirst. Unless you want me to stay but it looks like you need your sleep." I said as I stepped out of the room.

"That's fine," Mitch said, "momma's tired, so go away." No matter where we were or what situation was going on, he has always been sassy, and was probably born that way.

After walking out of the room I went to Kirstie's. I hope she's okay. I heard what happened and I was still worried about her. Even when she's in the safest place. When I walked in she was sleeping peacefully. She basically looked like an angel. The strawberry hair I had once smelled at one time was gone because of the beating she recieved. It felt like it was all my fault. For a while I sat down and held her hand. It was nice just to see her once again. I don't know why anyone would treat a girl like her like Brad did. She deserved better. Flowers everyday, love, care, and even more things that I could write a book about. I just sat there holding her hand, until the next time she woke up.

The next day...

Once she woke up she looked around the room then looked at me as I was sitting beside her.

"Hey," she said with an attempted smile. I loved it when she always tried to lift spirits up in the darkest of situations.

"So I heard what happened and-" I was cut off by a crying Kirstie.

"I'm so glad you're here," she said as she was crying into my arms.

"I'm glad you're here too. The good thing is is that you get to go home tomorrow." I said as we were still in the hug.

"Yeah, about that,"she began as she was wiping the tears off of her face,"I don't want to, I don't feel safe there."

"Well why wouldn't you feel safe? You'll have your doors locked, Game Of Thrones blasting off of the TV."I said hoping she would nod in agreement, but she didn't.

"Then where's Brad, because all I heard is that he got hit on the head with a bat which just knocked him out and was sprayed with pepper spray." She said with a worried look on her face.

I didn't know how to answer that. And that was a good question. Where was Brad?
