It is very common for people to see figures lurking about at night, especially in an old town. But when multiple people inform others about the same thing, doesn't that kinda give you goose bumps?
Well in Freihung, Germany the legend of Die Weisse Frau is not just a legend. She is formally known as 'The White Lady'. She died of unnatural causes. The white lady was found lurking about in mines before they were destroyed in hopes of destroying Die Weisse Frau. Since the mines were destroyed she has been brought up to be among us and the only way people see her is in the backseat of the vehicle through their rear view mirror.
I among others believe that this is true. Why you may ask? I have done my research on Die Weisse Frau and found this to support my choice: Found murdered just there on September 3, 1597. Her real name happens to be Jakobi, the Princess of Baden-Baden. Why is this relevant to a haunting? It just so happens that Jakobi is White Lady. Saying she was found murdered it is considered an unnatural death. Many spirits are known to hold a grudge against the place were they where murdered, their murder or even just an object. So anything really could be holding the spirit of Die Weisse Frau in Freihung. It might be the castle which she once lived in or even just the land. Jakobi was found be-headed on the third of September.
