Waking up the next day you thought of last night. Smiling you hoped out of bed and got ready for the day. Leaving your room you headed for the kitchen for some breakfast just as you opened the cupboard holding your cereal a knock sounded at your door. "Wonder who that is?" You said heading over to answer it. Opening the door and looking around a bit confused you looked down to find a note on your doorstep. Raising a brow as you picked it up. "What do we have here?" You asked opening the note and reading the contents. ~Dear (Y/N), ITS PINKIE! We're having a scavenger hunt! So come to the park and draw out your partner! And it's starting now! Waiting a couple seconds for it to click together in your head you giggled at her funny antics. "Couldn't she have at least waited until after I ate?" You said closing the door behind you. After a few minutes you reached the park to find everypony in a group pulling out names from a small box. "OH! (Y/N) YOUR HERE! YOU CAN PICK NEXT!" Pinkie yelled pushing you up front. Not really putting up much of a fight you reached the into the box and pulled out the first paper that touched your hoove. Grabbing it from your hooves before you could read it "CARMEL YOUR PARTNERED UP WITH (Y/N)!" Pinkie yelled catching the atenchion of a tanned male standing next to a dark pink mare. "Wait, didn't Aj say that that mare dumped Big Macintosh for that Carmel stallion?" You thought looking between the two. Turning to Pinkie "I don't think he would want to be partnered up with me." You said turning back to the two just a little ways away. "Oh it'll be just fine. You can ask to switch after I give everypony a list of what I've hidden all around Ponyvill." She happily replied pushing you tord the two. This time you put up some resistance against her pushing. When you were fully pushed over to the two. You could feel the awkwardness starting to build. Just before Pinkie could push you any further Applejack came up "Hey Pinkie Pie ah think ah would like ta trade partners with (Y/N). If ya don't mind." Turning to her a little confused "But you drew your brother. You always win when you work with him or Applebloom." Pinkie answered turning to her friend. Falling back due to Pinky no longer pushing against you. "Ah think a little change won't hurt." Applejack smirked with a shrug looking at you happily. Getting off the ground "I won't mind." You said smiling. Taking a glance at one another a bit worriedly. "I would mind she drew my name, so she's my partner." Carmel said walking in between you and the other two mares. "Oh well I guess we would need both partners to be okay with changing. Sorry (Y/N) I guess you can't switch the Aj." Pinkie apologized looking passed Carmel to you. Grimacing a little, "Ok I think a can deal with this." You said looking to the ground. Nodding "I'll go get our list." Carmel stated walking tord Rarity who was handing the lists out with cheerilee following him. Waiting until they was out of ear shot. "(Y/N), when we start our scavenger hunt we all start at the same place so when Pinkie sounds go, Ah want ya ta run nd lose em. So ah can pair up with em and ya pair up with ma brother." Applejack whispered to you before leaving. Watching her go you took a glance over to Ms. Cheerilee as she came back. "So...who did you get partnered up with?" You asked looking at her fully. "Oh I got Thunder Storm. He'll be my eyes in the sky looking for anything that could be on the roofs. Pinkie Pie just loves putting what we need to find in hard places." She replied before leaving to go talk to her partner. After she left Carmel came up with a really long list. "Wow, ok that is really long. How does Pinkie find the time to do all this? Just yesterday she had a huge order, and today a scavenger hunt." You said in awe at the list of items that were scattered around Ponyvill. "Yeah well Pinkie has her ways." Carmel replied looking at the list. "Why don't we go to the starting point?" You asked looking over to where the starting line was. Nodding both you and Carmel went over to the starting line along with a few others. When everypony was lined up, Pinkie hopped into her not air balloon to announce the beginning of the scavenger hunt. Right as she said go you followed Aj's orders and bolted forward blending in with the others that decided to run at the start. Turning a couple times until you ran out of breath. Leaning up against a wall "I...think...I lost him." You panted getting your breath back. "Well ya serenely can run fast there (N/N)." Yelping you turned around so fast you felled dizzy for a second, when you regained your bearings you looked up at the red male infront of you. "I wanted to make sure Carmel wouldn't be able to catch up." You said smiling at Big Mac as the two of you starting to walk again. Nodding "Ah see ya didn't get his list." Macintosh said pulling out his own list of items. "Well at least you had yours. So Aj is with Carmel now?" You asked looking at the list as well. Nodding "She said she had some businesses ta take care of." He replied blankly before looking around. "Why is there a rubber duck on that roof?" You asked looking at a roof to your right. Following your gaze "Cuz its on our list. Nd Pinkie Pie likes ta put crazy thing inta er scavenger hunts." Big Mac said looking you. Glancing from the roof to Macintosh "Your ganna throw me up there aren't you?" You asked tilting your head worriedly. "Eyup." Was his simple answer as you were grabbed by the waist.
