Episode 8 - [Buried Treasure]

Night 4 Continued

"I'm Junior, your host, and welcome back to Romance Resort. Last time on Romance Resort: We spent the episode watching a day of socialization and drama, Blaire and Jules shared a confusing kiss, rumors of Chloe leave people suspicious of her, and Amanda is a man stealer. In this episode: Who catches the girls? Who will win safety from the next elimination? And which couple faces even more drama? Read it now."

Balcony

"Hey, what's going on out there?" - Elliot

"Oh, it's nothing, we're just talking." - Blaire

The two wipe away their tears as Elliot joins them outside.

"What's wrong?" - Elliot

"We're just talking about deep stuff." - Blaire

"Need hugs?" - Elliot

The two nodded and had a group hug.

"Wanna talk about it?" - Elliot

"No, it's okay." - Jules

"You sure?" - Elliot

"Yeah..." - Jules

"Alright, I won't persist, but I'm here for both of you if you need me." - Elliot

"Thanks, Elliot. I'm sorry Dillon chose me." - Blaire

"Are you?" - Elliot

He walked out and shut the balcony light off.

"Are you?" - Jules

"I think so." - Blaire

"We should... Get to bed, and look, I really fucking like you, but we can't. I like Tristan, and he's special, I haven't had someone like him ever and I can't fuck that up." - Jules

"I get it, I'm going to stay out here for a while..." - Blaire

"Night, Hun." - Jules

Jules left while Blaire stayed on the balcony and cried.

Day 5

The islanders woke up and got ready for the day, not knowing what might be in store. Around noon their buzzers went off with a message "Challenge: Meet On Beach", everyone listened. Going out to the beach in their swimsuits.

"Hello, Islanders! It's nice to see you all again, today the twelve of you will be competing in a competition. Why? Because there's an even number of you! As you can see there are many sandcastles out here, one of which contains a 'Rosetta Coin' a small, red disc that reads 'Safety'. Whoever wins will be immune to the coupling up and will not have a couple for the next week, but will be safe, the gender of the winner will also be the ones choosing, and the opposite sex will say goodbye to one of their own. On go, all of you must dig through the sandcastles until someone finds the Rosetta Coin! Three, two, one - Go!"

The twelve individuals start digging through the huge amount of sandcastles. Some couples work together despite it being a solo competition. Tristan and Jules smash into castles together, hunting for the red coin. Amanda and Lee look with each other too, while everyone else focuses on the challenge on their own. The waves take down a few of the castles by the shoreline and a bottle is revealed. Dillon spots it and grabs it, noticing it has a note in it, he gets it out and reads it. "The token is in the west." Dillon follows the note's hint and runs to the west and begins searching there. Amanda and Elliot saw this happen and decided to join him in the west. The digging continued and Serena began getting mad under the pressure, Roman was following behind her, digging through castles she skipped.

"Go look somewhere else! Stop stalking me!" - Serena

"I have the right to look wherever I want, chill a little." - Roman

"Don't you ever tell me to chill." - Serena

"You better hope you find that token." - Roman

He went to the other side of the beach than her, which happened to be west. Only seven of the Islanders were on the west side. Dillon, Amanda, Lee, Elliot, Roman, Blaire, and Chloe. Thirty minutes officially pass and now it's only five on the west. Dillon, Roman, Elliot, Tristan, and Jules.

"Wait, we don't want this." - Tristan

"What do you mean?" - Jules

"If we get this we can't couple up and we'll be putting the other at risk." - Tristan

"Oh shit, you're right. Let's forfeit and just sit." - Jules

At the forty-five minute mark, someone finally finds the Rosetta Coin. Likely because of the note, Dillon found the coin. He dug into a beautifully made sandcastle and found it at the bottom. He yelled out declaring he found it and everyone went back inside.

"Congratulations, Dillon. You've found the Rosetta Coin which will protect you from elimination, but also prevent you from being in a couple for the next round. It also means the guys will be choosing partners and one of the girls will be getting dumped in two days. Good luck to all of you."

The rest of the day goes by quick and the couples get some rest after the short day.

Day 6

It is very early morning, a few Islanders talk game in the lounge.

Lounge

"Who do you guys think will go home?" - Blaire

"Not you, you're chill, Elliot will probably pick you." - Roman

"Then what do I do?" - Daphne

"If Lee passes on you and so does Elliot, I got you, don't worry." - Roman

"I'm curious, if you go first, who will you choose?" - Amanda

"Honestly, I don't know, maybe Serena, but she's becoming a lot to handle. I really like her, but when she gets stressed out she takes it out on me. I'm open to the idea of picking someone else, but I'm hoping I don't go first if I reject Serena she will make definite drama." - Roman

"That's true. I honestly think Lee's using me though." - Amanda

"How?" - Daphne

"Oh just, he completely gave up on you to come get me and I'm pretty sure it's just because his parents would prefer him to get a traditional Asian on Asian relationship out of this..." - Amanda

"Did he say that?" - Daphne

"In the confessionals yeah..." - Amanda

"Then how do you- oh." - Blaire

"Yeah, oh." - Amanda
