Ansel's POV

I went up the stairs, was about to get to Theo's room. I fasten my steps to walk forward.

But when I passed another half-opened room, some sound made me stopped walking.

A sob.

I move backwards and peeked my head to inside,

And there I saw Shailene sitting on her bed, crying.

"Shai?" I got in.

Shailene who was suprised by my presence quickly jumped a bit, hiding something from me.

"Wh- what's wrong?" I ask, now sitting in front of her.

"Shailene." I demand.

"What's that?" I ask, nodding at something she's hiding in her back.

I shook her shoulders and breathe once again, "Whats that?!"

Shai didn't say a word. But right I after I shouted to her for one last time, I knew she couldn't held it back no more. Shai bit her lip as her mouth trembles, as her eyes started to water and slowly handing something from me.

A long and thin device,

And finally,

finally she burst out into a cry.

I dont know what this thing is called but I know what does it shows.

"Hey man." I lean myself against the door and crossed my arms. Theo is laying on the bed, face buried down to his pillow.

"Get out"

"Theo." I say sternly, now making my way towards him.

"Get up" I demand, helping him up.

"Gosh you are such a mess" I say.

"If you have nothing else to say you better leave." He turned his face away from me.

"I do, actually. It's about your girlfriend-"

He let out a sigh, "Get out"

"-My sister."

"You are not going to play with her heart Theodore James."

"SHE is the one playing" He shouts.

"YOU have not heard her explaining it to you Theo- Miles was the one kissing her. She told me about it- about everything. About how she felt bad for Miles who's having a pain and just wanted to cheer him up by giving him a kiss. Grow up, Theo. Just imagine that it was a movie scene. After all it was just one kiss and she was about to pull away when you came. That's when the situation went all wrong."

"Say something Theo" I snap. But he stayed quiet.

"And YOU should have known her better Theo. That is your girlfriend over there, A Shailene Woodley. You've been dating her for the past year. What happened to your pms emotion? That's the main problem. You could not control your emotion. You get angry so easily." I snap again.

Theo looks down, looks like he has realized his fault.

"You're right." He sat down then let out a deep and heavy breath.

"And Theo-"

He stares up at me.

I was about to tell him about it but I guess he would like to hear it from Shai herself.

"I think you should go to her room. I guess she got something to show to you."

Theo nods, then stood up again, "Okay."

And so we both walked to Matt's room...

when the door is wide opened.

Theo and I hurried ourselves into there when-

Nobody's inside.

"Shai!" I shout, walking round the room fastly.

She's not here.

Not here.

Oh shit.

I turned myself around and found Theo, standing in front of the bed, one hand is shaking while holding a page of paper that was placed on the bed.

"Gone," He says weakly, staring at the paper.

Theo turned his face up to me, now staring at me with his red watery eyes, and with all the guilt look,

"She's gone."
