age: 10
johnny grabbed one of my bras and put it on over his sweatshirt.
"ooo im kenzie" he mocked me
"haha, you're hilarious" i replied in a sarcastic tone.
i know im only 10, but i grew quick. johnny on the other hand, still looks like justin bieber. ive been telling him to get a haircut, but he won't.
"kenzie, let's go on the trampoline"
"ok!" i said and quickly began running down stairs "last one out is a rotten egg!" i yelled
"hey! that's not fair" johnny whined.
i beat him out and climbed onto the trampoline. we jumped for a while and showed off our tricks. we were both super exhausted, so we layed down.
"remember when we were 8 and we came here after you learned how to ride a bike?"
"yeah. and we said we would be best friends forever."
we turned our heads and looked at each other. johnny grabbed my hand and we interlocked fingers. i love my best friend so much. we layed there for a while, just looking at the sunset. the sun was completely gone.
"kids! time to roast some smores!" my mom yelled from inside.
johnny and i both looked at each other with the biggest smiles. we ran out of the trampoline and raced to the campfire. johnny and i sat on a bench next to each other. we both roasted our marshmallows. johnny wasn't looking, so his first one set on fire.
"are you kids cold?" dale asked.
johnny and i both nod our heads yes, shivering. he handed us a blanket and we both wrapped ourselves in it.
"you guys are too cute!" my mom said.
she got her phone out and took a picture of us. i loved living next door to my best friend.
