"Tori, you better not be using all the hot water! " Jacob slammed his hard fist at the bathroom door, almost causing a crack to go down the middle.
"Just a minute! Trying to get the perfect wing! " Tori gave her lame excuse trough the door back at him.
"Why do you need wings? Are you trying to fly to Narnia?" Jacob questioned. "Or are you trying to steal Destiny's look? " He gave a slight chuckle at the thought.
Truth was, Tori had spent the last 8 minutes standing in front of the mirror all ready to go but left the hot water running in the shower just to piss Jacob off. Thats what you get for eating my last snickers.
Finally, when Tori put her hand in the running water and didn't feel an once of warmth, she smiled and walked out. Jacob was leaning against the far wall from the bathroom wearing joggers and shirtless, holding a red bath towel and looking at something on his phone.
"Now that you took so long, I don't even get to take a shower. Destiny just texted to meet her at the buffet. Got a new job. " Jacob said.
There goes the revenge plan.."Okay. Hurry and get dressed. I'll meet you by the door." Tori sighed and walked past him and headed to her side of the hotel room her and Jacob shared. She gathered her limited belongings - one pair shorts, one pair jeans, and three shirts, hair brush, deodorant, and Bobby pins - and headed to the hotel door. She usually bought a new toothbrush and new clothes whenever they changed locations. The Crimson Tide usually stays no longer than a few months. Never more than a year in one place. That's how they survive in other packs territories.
Wolves are okay letting you stay around for only a short while, if you are a friend to them. Once the line between guests and trespassers start to get blurry, it's time to leave. That's usually right when whatever threat that brought us together is gone.
Jacob met Tori shortly at the door with his small bag on his back ready to go. Wondering what was the new job and what the hotel offered for breakfast that morning, they made their way to the kitchen located in the room beside the lobby. Destiny was sitting at one of the small tables in the far corner eating all the berries from the fruit basket. Carson was in line with two plates filled with bacon, sausage, waffles with syrup, and eggs. Tori walked towards the daily orange juice and coffee. Grabbing a cup of sugar with a dash of coffee and a small glass of orange juice, she brought them over to Destiny and handed her the juice.
Tori drank the 1 cup of coffee to 2 cups of sugar and was waiting for the boys to come over to our table. Destiny was texting away on her phone looking irritated. After a minute of angrily texting someone she tossed her phone onto the table with a low growl.
"Andrew?" Carson asked when he finally joined us with the plates full of food just in time to hear the growl.
"Yup." Destiny sighed as she popped another grape into her mouth. "He's busy talking up the lifeguard in the pool over there." She point across the room to the wall of windows looking into the indoor pool. There the fifth and finale member of the Crimson Tide stood in all his glory with blonde hair, tanned skin and rock hard abs, flirting with a petite lady with dark hair and pale skin lifeguard. "Been blowing up his phone since I got the call for help this morning. He hasn't even bothered looking at them."
Tori gave her a sympathetic look but kept her thoughts to herself. She's been a part of the pack for just a little under two years-one year 8 months 27 days and 18 minutes (not that she was counting) - and she didn't want to be kicked out. She liked the three boys even though they were irritating beyond belief and she thought she connected with Destiny in a way that she never connected with anyone before. Destiny felt the same way. Felt like they finally found their own long lost sister.
