Just Friends (Chapter 6)

(Maria's POV)

When we were done cooking I went upstairs. Cony's room is in front of the stairs so you can see her room as you are going upstairs. The problems about this is that I saw something that maybe I should not have seen.

Jason and Cony were kissing.

This makes me so happy, and I have the reasons why.

1) They could be the my favorite couple in the whole world. They are so cute. When ever they are looking at each other they follow each others eyes. The care they take for each other is so cute.

2) I'm so happy for Jason. Although he always told me they were just friends I could feel and see he had feelings for Cony. I still remember the look on Jason's face when Mikey asked Cony out. While we were all happy for the new couple I noticed we was really sad.

I didn't want to ruin the moment so I started to go backwards. They hadn't noticed anything --- me looking at them --- until Sarah came and screamed in my ear, making me scream. That obviously made them pull apart. I really want to slap her. If you see someone going down the stairs quietly you don't scream.

(Jason's POV)

That kiss made me feel a lot of things. I felt happy but at the same time I felt guilt. Instead of helping Mikey I was kissing Cony. But that kiss maybe me notice how much I love her. Sarah always told me she knew I had a little crush for Cony but I wasn't sure. Now I am.

(Cony's POV)

Friendship? After this I wouldn't say we have a normal friendship, but even of we start a serious relationship I don't want anything to ruin our 'friends' mode. I never thought I would get butterflies from my best friend. I was so wrong.

When I heard someone going up the stairs we pulled apart, rapidly.

"Hey, what were you two doing?" Sarah walked into the room.

Jason and I looked at each other. Thanks fully we said the same thing.

"Talking."

Sarah bought it, but Maria didn't. I know Jason is going to make my life 'happier'. He is the one that is going to make me feel loved and maybe fill the space that my dad left empty.

"Can I talk with Cony, alone," Maria said as she glanced from Jason to Sarah.

"Okay. Cony if you need anything call me."

As soon as Jason was getting out of the room Maria threw a kiss and winked at me. I acted as if I hadn't seen her.

"Bye Cony. Mom just called me and told me that we need to go home, but if you need anything just call us," Sarah and Jason hugged me and Maria and made their way to their house.

As soon as they left Maria started to scream and jump up and down around the house. I acted as if nothing had happened but deep inside I was about to do the same.

"Maria what are you doing?" I asked her. She stopped screaming and starred at me with an 'are you kidding' look in her face.

"Cony we both know, but tell me how it happened," she made me sit down right next to her.

"I don't know...," before I could continue she cut me off.

"I promise I'm not going to tell anyone," she looked at me with puppy eyes.
