Yuki woke up and stretched it had been a long night for her as she had just been thrown into an orphanage after finding out her parents were dead and weren’t coming back home. She gets up and looks around “Mum and Dad really aren’t coming back for me...” she quietly walks downstairs where the caretaker is calling for breakfast she decided to sit near a young boy with black hair with red tips and blank black eyes, she didn’t mind who she sat near but this was the only seat among the kids here.

“H-hello I’m Yuki what's your name?” she said shyly trying to make conversation with the boy near her.

The young boy quickly looked at her before answering. “L-luca.” He said quietly as the kids around kept screaming about what they want to eat first

“U-uh… why does everyone here scream?” Yuki covers her ears

The boy looked down. “They are imbecilic”

“Oh… but you’re quiet and I like quiet people” she smiles trying to brighten the mood “how old are you? I'm six” she puts five fingers up then slowly the other one “I think that’s right”

“Eight...” Luca said as the caretakers started to hand out plates of bacon pancakes to everyone.

“bacon on pancakes? Never heard of it. But looks good!” she starts eating.
“I’m not hungry.” Luca said as he gave the other kids his share.
“why not?” Yuki blinked
Luca began to out of his seat. “You need to learn to not ask as many questions about me.” Luca said looking at her as his left eye began to get hints of red as he walked away.
One of the female caretakers walked up to you and kneeled to so she was eye to eye with you. “Don’t worry about him sweetheart. I’m Nami, you are?”  she said smiling at Yuki
“My names Yuki, Luca seems nice though I’d like to get to know him.” she smiles.
“Yuki, that’s a wonderful name. Do you want some more pancakes or are you good?” Nami asked Yuki.
“I’m good thank you” she runs almost hops after Luca
Yuki found Luca looking at the books sadly.
“Hi Luca!” Yuki runs towards him.
“Umm. H-hi...” Luca said as he kept looking at the books.
“what you doing?” Yuki looks at the books, “I can’t read, can you?”
Luca looks to the ground, “Yeah...” He said as he grabbed a book about culture and different breeds. (aka, vampires, seraphs, hybrids, demons etc…) 
“what are you reading? It looks cool” Yuki looks over “S-E-R-A-P-H Seraph? Hey my mommy talked about them to daddy that’s why I’m special they said.”
“Did they say what type you were?” Luca said looking at Yuki properly for once as his left eye began to get a few more hints of red.
“uhh no I don’t think so.” she blinks
“does any w-word come up when y-you hear t-that word?”  Luca said looking back to the book
“uhh… Love.” she smiles
“Cool...” Luca said.
“Uhh… Ok whatever.” She sighed confused.
“why d-did you f-follow me.”
“because you seem like a nice guy and I want to get to know you better.”
“Well I’m not nice, and I don’t need friends.” Luca said as he kept reading his book as his eye became more red.
“well I’m officially your friend!”
“Whatever…” Luca said as he got up and put the book back before walking out to where the caretakers break room.
“well, yeah.” yuki hopped.
*Luca knocks on the door and waits for someone to open it*
“*sighs* boredom kills me.”
“If your bored you can go play with someone else or do something else.” Luca said as he walked into the break room.
“Nah I’ll stay here.” She follows him inside.
“whatever, just be more amusing then... stupid.”  Luca said as his eye started to become more red.
“Where the hell are the caretakers? The stupid adults forgetting again.” Luca said as he jumped over the counter and onto a bench to get a box.
“Yeah where is everybody?” Yuki looks scared.
“I don’t know.” *coughs as some blood comes out*. “Those idiots forget all the time!” Luca said as he got his medications out and got a glass of water.
“medication? But why???”
“Reasons that you don’t need to know about.” Luca said before they heard foot steps and shouting from unfamiliar voices.
“h-huh??”
“Yuki get over the bench. Now!” Luca said as he shoved her behind the bench
“what’s happening?!” Yuki quickly hides “Yuki go behind the counter now!”

“O-ok” Yuki hides behind the counter like she was told she plays with her hair nervously.

“Whatever happens, I’ll protect you.” Luca said as he dropped his pills and hid next to the door.

“O-ok…” she said shaking in fear ‘what’s gonna happen to us?’ Yuki thinks as she waits to see what happens.

Footsteps get louder as one of the voices comes closer to the doorway.

‘Either they come through here first or Wretched comes’ Luca thought as he could feel his sanity slipping away as his eye gets redder. Luca pulls a leg off a chair and crouches waiting for them to come through.

Yuki tries to hide herself more ‘I hope Luca knows what he’s doing’

“Do you think thats all of them or more?” A random person said as he opened the door on the other side of the breaker room checking it thoroughly as he shut the door after checking it all out, “Just one last room to go!” He shouted to his buddy who sounded like he was far away. 

Yuki panics and covers her mouth to muffle breathing ‘no, no, no’

As the man walked in Luca hit the back of the man's knees making him fall down as Luca started to run down the hallway making the man chase him as Luca started to laugh.

“Get here you little brat!” The man shouted sounding aggravated as his other friend began to scream.

“Oh no luca be careful…” Yuki whispers and puts her hands together.

“Where are you, you little br-!” The man yells as his voice was cut off. More vampires around the building began to come through the doorway as one with red hair and a rats tail began the laugh.

“Aren't you special.”  He said as Luca cut through two more vampires crushing their brains.

Well then... how will this go? who knows find out in the next chapter
