The Train

Prologue

Hi, my name is Lulu, I live in a city called Brookedge, it's a small town, with not a lot of people at most 317 people living in Brookedge. I hear stories that Brookedge is the only town in the whole world that is actually active with people, I hear other stories where there are other cities with a beach and a beautiful sunset with thousands of people living in the city.

There are some rules in Brookedge, rule number 1: no staying out past 8:13, rule number 2: no bringing new lives into the world, rule number 3: no drugs (including cigarettes), rule number 4: no drinking alcohol etc., rule number 5: no relationships other than already marriage, rule number 6: go straight home after school, shopping etc., rule number 7: only like someone not love someone, rule number 8: no secrets, and rule number 9: no pets, rule number 10: no leaving Brookedge.

My family is different, my parents died trying to escape Brookedge so now my aunt Rose takes care of me and my older brother Ace, I used to have 2 younger siblings Leeanne and Clay, they were twins but they disappeared and no one knows how.

I am currently 16 turning 17 on November 23. I have dark blue eyes, long dark brown hair, and a button nose. My crush is Isaiah, he is 17, he has really dark brown short hair, dark brown eyes, and a roman nose. My best friend is Ann, Ann is the prettier friend, she is 17, she has blue eyes, long light ash brown hair, and a duchess nose. My brother ace, he is 18, he has dark blue eyes, black fringed up hair, and a straight nose. My aunt rose is 25, and has dark brown eyes, light ash blonde wavy hair, and a duchess nose.

Brookedge is a small town with one grocery store with only healthy foods, one pharmacy, one small school, and one gym with one pool. All the houses look the same inside and out including the yards and furniture. The Watchovers come to every house once a month and searches our houses for anything questionable. The train comes once a week every Saturday at 8:13 sharp and every time the train comes something strange happens. Whenever someone breaks a rule they get sentenced to death. And every time a stray comes into Brookedge they are immediately killed.
