SKYLA'S P.O.V.

As I race through town I gave the villagers whom I encountered a hasty 'good morning' and a 'sorry' as I ran through the busy crowd of the town.
I woke up too late for stable duty but I had thought if I was fast enough I could make it. And I was in time... Almost. I entered the stables swiftly. The scent of manure hit my nose and the sound quiet neighing of the old horses greeted me. Going off to the left I opened the door to a side room. The 'office' for the stable help. It was dimply lit by a lantern at the ceiling. The brushes and saddles all neatly put up at the far left wall. Stacks of hay were towering over me from the back with buckets surrounding the floor. A few boxes were at the right from the haystacks with different kinds of treats and special food. Walking over to the small table that was pushed against one of the walls I went for my box. It was filled with brushes for the horses. A note was placed neatly on top and smiling soft I grabbed it. "you're late once again sky" it read and I couldn't help but chuckle soft. I opened my box and lifted the inside tray out, placing the note under with its brothers and sisters of a similar kind. Closing it up and grabbing a bucket with oats, I made my way outside to the ranch. The old horses were already taken care off, so opening their pens, I led them outside as I tagged along.

Oh right! I'm terribly sorry for not introducing myself sooner! As you just saw I was in a bit of a rush. I'm Skyla! My friends call me Sky. I'm a brunette with purple strands in my hair. I'm a five-year-old girl and I'm not human either. None of us are in this village. I'm a hybrid born from a Wolfblood and a Wood-elf. And this village is the proud Silvis Tribe, named after our settlement in the Silvis woods from Nativus. Most of the inhabitants are Wood-elves. Some of the people are from other races. Their pasts aren't all revealed as they rather keep it to themselves, but they are welcome to live here anyway. The rest of the villagers exists out of Wolfbloods, some Felines and Water-elves. My mother herself is a Wood-elf. Her name is Violet Willowmint. She is a tailor at the central market of the village. She sells wool and clothing and often trades for other materials for clothing as well. Dad owns the ranch, build it himself even and holds horses and farm animals. His name is Cyrus Swiftwing, a full blooded Wolfblood. He is one of the strongest of his kind. I myself am one of the first hybrids of the village. That being half elf, half wolf. That was all for introductions, let's continue where we left off.

CYRUS' P.O.V.

As I sat down in the grass with a huff, the hoofs of sheep and horses alike trotted around me. The work was nearly done and I took a small break, enjoying the morning sun that glazed the ranch with light. The clearing that made the ranch area was wide and went over to the forest edge. The thin line of fence is what separated the field. When you're raised in the Silvis village you learn that you work with nature and not against. Meaning that if this clearing wasn't big enough to hold my animals to roam freely, I wasn't allowed to cut down a few trees to do so. Since I was taken in by the kind-hearted elves I lived under their rules. It was the least I could do to repay their kindness.

Looking up at the sound of hooves and running feet I smiled soft to myself seeing the last of the herd come outside and following behind them was my pride and joy, my daughter. Skyla made her way over to me, her usual dress playing in the soft morning wind. The dress was basically a gradient shirt that bled from blue to green downward, pieces of cloth shaped as leaves formed the skirt at the bottom. Grey leggings peaked out and stopped just under her knees. Brown worn-out shoes hid in the grass whenever she stepped, surely the grass tickling her bare feet as the top of the shoe was open, holding it in place with a band around her ankles. Her ponytail swept from side to side as her bright silver eyes looked at me cheerfully.
