☆ Day one: moving in! ☆

I was awoken from a deep dreamless slumber by the sound of clapping and groaned quietly in annoyance.
It seemed the plane had landed and most of the passengers had for some dumb reason decided to applaud.

I sighed deeply before beginning to pull my bags out of the overhead cabin, which of course ended in catastrophe. As a direct result of my, let's call it unimpressive stature I could just barely reach the bags, much less catch them.
I fell on my ass, and closed my eyes, preparing for the impact of three bags.
Three seconds that felt like an eternity later I got the guts to look up again, only to see that my bags had been expertly caught by a cute brown haired bloke.
I stood up and dusted off my clothes before looking up at the man, only to be positively astounded by the electric blue eyes that met with my own.
Emberassed and shocked I stuttered out something in between an apology and a thank you before taking my bags and scurrying off, but before I could get far I felt a hand on my shoulder.

My very first instinct was to punch whatever or whomever was touching me, but since my hands where full I just jumped and turned around quick enough to get whiplash.
The one who dared put their filthy hand on me was none other than the brown haired bloke, he smiled warmly before opening his mouth to say.
"Hey, sorry, didn't mean to scare ya, I was just a bit curious about your name?"
I felt it was very rude to hold up the line out if the plane by talking, so I gestured at him to follow me, and said nothing until we where in the bagging area.
I chuckled slightly and answered "didn't wanna hold up the queue, hope you didn't mind. My name's Laura, what's yours?"
"That's such a pretty name! Mines Jack." He chirped
"I'm surprised you didn't arrive in the luggage then." I said, grinning.
After Jack didn't respond I continued:
"Get it...Jack in a box."
My pun was answered with a deep dissapointed sigh.
We then went our separate ways, and I didn't stop chuckling until I got on the bus to the hotel.

After an hour or so of rising the bus I finally arrived at my hotel and took in a deep breath. The tropical air felt warm, yet refreshing, and it had a faint smell of saltwater.
This week was gonna be absolutely splendid.

I walked into the large hotel and got into my room, it was small but cosy, and most importantly not too expensive.
It was sparingly furnished with a white twin bed, a white drawer and a small, black rug in the middle of the room.
It thankfully had a bathroom attached to it, so I decided to take a shower before getting properly moved in.
