hey guys! this first poem is an original piece that i wrote at a really tough time in one of my previous 'relationships' that didn't end very well. i hope you guys enjoy! please do give me feedback in the comments as well! 🖤
'you have what you have when you have it'
you asked me why i changed
usually when things change,
you tend to change with them
why wouldn't i change
i asked him in response
because all i ever wanted
was to love him the way
that he loved me
but it was never meant to be
because everything was
better made up in my head
than how they turned
out to be
the thing that hurt the most
was that you were
so important to me
that even though i so desperately
wanted to be selfish
and just tell you honestly
that all i ever wanted was you
i knew that we would've just
ended up hurt
