An Ambulance siren sounds on a Sunday night as an unconscious woman is pushed, on a stretcher, into the emergency area of a hospital. While this is happening, the sky is pitch black and two male paramedics are treating her. The woman is wearing a black bra with black jeans and no shoes or shirt. Her right side is covered in blood, from her bald head to her pierced bellybutton to her deep blue painted toe nails. Paramedic #1, whose name is Nathan Lockamy, says to the ER Physician, "She's unconscious but stable. She has multiple gunshot scars as well as what appear to be multiple open lacerations to the right side of her head, abdomen, leg, and foot. We tried to put an IV in her but my partner, who was holding the needle into her skin was electrocuted. The needle may still be in her skin, since that happened literally a second ago, when we pulled up." The Physician, Dr. Joseph Reddlin, nods and looks at the second paramedic, who was electrocuted, only to see that his hair is on end and he is shaking as if he has hypothermia. Dr. Reddlin says to Paramedic #2, Nasir Lamarad, "Do you know what caused you to be electrocuted?" Lamarad replies, "No, but something is not right with her. I went to get her pulse and I could only feel vibrations." Dr. Reddlin nods and responds to Lamarad by saying, "Interesting. Well thank you for telling me and you should go get checked out."

Lamarad nods and walks away with his paramedic partner, Lockamy. Dr. Reddlin then turns to the female nurse, Nurse Anna Zerbronski according to her name tag, beside him and says before walking away to check on his other patients, "Get the blood washed off her, clean her wounds and then put her into the x-ray machine. After you do all that, in exactly that order, then bring her to room 4. It's 12:30 am now so I should be able to examine her by about 2:00 am. Welcome to another Monday morning, and another year, 2035, Happy New Year." Nurse Zerbronski replies, "Yes Dr. Reddlin." and then tells the paramedics, Lockamy and Lamarad, "Take the woman to the Patient Washing room." Nurse Zerbronski then calls two male nurses and says "Help me put the woman on the examining table to be washed off." She then calls for two female nurses and says, "Help me undress the woman and get me a pair of gloves." The nurses move to do their assigned tasks while Nurse Zerbronski gets to work washing the blood off the woman after receiving a pair of gloves.

The police are at a warehouse full of robot parts and frozen, dismembered, human body parts. A Detective Amir, according to her badge, walks into a room at the back of the warehouse. She finds a dentist's office-type chair in the middle of the room with blood on it. The blood is on the exact same side as the unconscious woman's injuries. The blood had dripped down to the floor, which brings about the conclusion that the woman had been sitting in it when she had been injured. Detective Amir walks back into the hall and calls out, "I need this room photographed, and I need someone to find my partner." Just then, a Detective Adam, according to his badge, comes down the hall passing Detective Amir and answers, "I'm here and I have a camera and all the ingredients needed for Adam's Special Chocolate Dipped Trail-Mix. So please don't be too mad at me already, its only 1:30 am on a Monday, which just so happens to be New Year's Day." Detective Amir sighs in frustration and replies, "Just start photographing; I think this is the room that the unconscious woman was injured in. The chair looks as if she was sitting in it when she was injured. The fresh pool of blood on the floor and the fresh blood on the chair are all on what would be the woman's right side if she were sitting in the chair. Do we know how we were called here, why, and what did the first responders see?"

Detective Adam shakes his head in amusement, starts photographing the room, and replies, "We were called due to a steady stream of complaints about loud music and or metal being cut for the past two weeks. An officer was sent out on the day of the first complaint but there was no one in here and he didn't hear anything. Today, there was another string of complaints. Officer Zander Treviyon came out here to check it out, and found a man performing what Treviyon described as a 'type of implant surgery.' Treviyon said that the woman was bleeding profusely from what looked to be the entire right side of her body, from head to toes. Treviyon immediately put the man in cuffs, and called for an ambulance while checking the woman's pulse. He described the experience as unusual because he could only feel something like a vibration of her pulse. At the moment, the woman's getting checked out at the hospital, its 1:45am, so we'll go to the hospital about 10:30 am to see if we can interview her."
