"Did you hear that?" Jin asked. "It sounds like there is something in the trees."

"Its probably just your imagination" Namjoon said,  looking up but seeing nothing.

"How much further do we have?" asked an exhausted Jin.

"You do realize we have only been walking for 15 minutes right?" Namjoon exclaimed.

Jin sighed, bored out of his mind. So far they haven't seen anything. Jin and Namjoon were walking on the path in the very back of the group side by side while keeping a lookout.

"Guys look! Over there to the left!" Jimin yelled. "Is that a tent?"

They all shot their heads looking in the direction Jimin was pointing at. There sprawled a navy blue tent that looked like it hadn't been there for more than 3 weeks.

"Dude, are you thinking what I'm thinking" said an overjoyous Yoongi.

"No. Just no." said Jin.

"Oh come on let's just go check it out. Whats the worst that could go wrong?" Yoongi argued.

Jungkook, butting in, said "Umm we could find a body. Is that really what you want to see? Because I know I don't. Especially not in this god damn hell hole."

"Stop overreacting" Yoongi said while giving him an impatient look. "The management always have to do mandatory sweepthroughs so I doubt your innocent eyes will see anything."

"Let's stop arguing over this and just do it okay. That's why we came here right? To explore. Well then let's do it. Namjoon get that red rope out." said Taehyung.

Namjoon, pulling the rope out looked over at a pale Jin. He knew he was scared.

"Namjoon, are we really doing this?" Jin whispered to him confidentially.

"I'm afraid so" he said. "But hey remember what I told you? I won't let anything happen to you."

Jin smiled and nodded his head in agreement releasing some of his built up tension.

Namjoon walked over to one of the tall trees to his left, tying the rope around it in a knot. "Alright who's going first?" He asked.

"I will." Said yoongi, grabbing Hobi's hand pulling him along.

"Hey bro, I didn't volunteer for this!" Exclaimed Hobi, who was being dragged behind. "This is insane."

The tent looked to be about a mile out. Following behind Yoongi and Hobi were Jungkook and Jimin. Taehyung behind them, and then came Namjoon holding the rope next to Jin.

"Fuck!" Jungkook yelled, getting hit in the face with one of the tree branches yoongi released. "You could have warned me, asshole!"

Yoongi turned around still walking and started laughing hysterically. The rest of the boys followed along with him laughing until they all had tears running down their faces.

"Sorry!" said Yoongi, still crying from laughter.

They all stopped abruptly when they saw that they were standing only five feet away from their target.

The tent.

Yoongi began walking towards it until Hobi took his arm in his grasp. "Don't" he said.

"What you arent the least bit curious?"

"Yoongi seriously, you're starting to creep me out." said Jin.

Yoongi shook out of Hobi's grasp and began walking towards the tent. The tent wasn't very big, only fitting for one person. It was beside a huge tree log and on that tree log they saw a dirty umbrella.

Starting to unzip the tent little by little he looked inside.

"Nothing." He said. "Nothing but empty food wrappers and drink trash. Are you kidding me?"

Taehyung walked over to stand beside him. He sighed. "We walked this way for nothing."

All of a sudden they heard a scream come from Jin.

"What the fuck was that!" He screamed.

Jin looked over and saw a red cardinal perching on a branch, after it flew right in front of his face, wings brushing his hair.

Jin started thinking back to his childhood, remembering how he and his father would always go searching for these type of majestic birds. Each and every memory leaving his mind when Hobi began speaking.

"You know what that means right?"

"What do you mean?" Asked Jimin.

"For every cardinal you see, myth says there is a spirit near by or with you trying to give you a sign." Namjoon piped in.

"Okayyy well that's not creepy. Not creepy at all." Jimin sarcastically remarked.

The cardinal flew away and they were all left alone with their thoughts. Everyone walked back to the pathway in agonizing silence. They knew that darkness was upon them.
