𝑠𝑦𝑛𝑜𝑝𝑠𝑖𝑠: the plot of the applyfic will follow meteor garden 2018, a chinese adaptation of the manga hana yori dango, as well as the manga's other remakes (which include boys over flowers, meteor shower, and meteor garden 2001, among others.) the show is basically about a group of 4 rich boys who encounter a poor girl who isn't afraid to stand up to them, and they slowly befriend her. please keep in mind that this story will have multiple cliches, some more cringey than others!
𝑐𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑒 𝑠𝑦𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑚: okay so at this school, there have an extremely strict social hierarchy that is basically determined by how much money you have. it isn't ever really publicly addressed by the school's administration, but everyone knows about it.
𝒈𝒐𝒍𝒅 - the highest rank consists of what the other students jokingly call the f5. the f5 are five students who are number one at just about everything ― grades, sports, money, popularity, looks, etc. it's extremely hard to be apart of the f5 and even harder to stay in it.
𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓- the second highest consists of children of celebrities or influential families. most of the students that attend this university belong to the silver rank.
𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒛𝒆 - every year, the university accepts a handful of lower middle-class students on scholarships. they don't get bullied per se, but are usually ostracized. that's not always the case though.
