Knight: Birth of a Rebellion

Chapter 6: Unexpected, but not unwelcome

As the battle progressed, the rebels got ever so closer to the mansion. They hadn't taken a single loss yet but then again, Knight hadn't scored a single kill. As they got half way, Knight thought he saw fighting in the courtyard and a blue blade seemed to be swinging round. He reached for his comm and tried to initate a comm channel with Haanna.

Haanna's comm started flashing and she immediately knew it was Knight. He's probably spotted the fight. She thought as she watched Yuda finish Physco. She gave the signal to wait as the team watched him as he pulled Kaos' blade to him and head inside.

Kaos lifted his head as the doors slide up but then sank it as he saw who it was.

"Oh, it's you " he said sarcastically with a small smile.

"You should be grateful." Yuda said with no expression. He ignited Kaos 's blade and Kaos closed his eyes, waiting for the worse but instead, he flopped to the ground free. Getting up he looked at Yuda who deactivated the blade and tossed it to Kaos who caught it.

"Why?" He asked as the masked man stared at him. Yuda sighed and leant against the wall.

"After you defeated Luunaa... these two love birds disobeyed my orders and took you to their own home." He began. "My orignal plan was to turn you, break you. But this pathetic excuses for assassins wanted to use you as a revenge tool."

Kaos sighed and sat on the edge of the shelf Jessa had been sat on. "So why not take me and turn me now." Kaos asked.

"Because i know what losing a loved one is like." Yuda said sadly, a weakness Kaos noted down silently. "I won't take you from your wife but one of your top members is one of mine too. He's borderline at the moment and is feeding us both information. " Yuda said, getting up.

"Why should I believe you?" Kaos asked as he watched Yuda approach him.

"Because i just saved your ass and now I'm offering you a place by my side" he replied, extending his hand. Kaos thought about it, his brain flickering into the darkness before returning to the light. He shook his head slowly.

"I'm sorry, but that won't ever happen." He replied. Yuda withdrew his hand and began leaving the room.

"We shall see Kaos, we shall see." He said menacingly as he marched out of the room.

The strike team watched Yuda leave, hoping that Kaos was still alive. Once he was out of sight, the team leapt over the balcony and breached the room, only to see a weakened and confused Kaos.

"Kaos?" Haanna asked as she stowed her side arm. He looked at her and smiled as she ran at him and flung her arms round him before kissing him. The team looked away, secretly smiling to themselves.

Once the kissing was over, one of the team came over. "uh escape now, hug later my lady, we need to get out of here.' Haanna nodded and let go off Kaos.

The team snuck back through the hall ways, finding them free of guards oddly enough. They ran out the side of the mansion only to find Yuda boarding a shuttle. Turning round to them he drew his blade.
