3rd person POV:
Torrential rain fell over the city of Busan, as the wind blew harshly, carrying dirt and dust along with it. The weather forecast had predicted a storm but not one which was this violent.
The dark-haired female stood near the window. Her chocolate brown eyes stared outside, as a look of frustration settled across her feature. Her mind pondering over the same question over and over again. ' how was I ever going to get home?'
Pulling out her phone from her pocket, she checked for any messages from her father. Nothing yet. Running a hand through her hair, Jisoo decided to practice as a way to pass time. Pulling back the string, she aimed for the center of the circle. She didn't realize that her beloved best friend was sneaking up on her. She was just about to let the arrow go when.....
"BOO!!"
Successfully scaring poor Jisoo, Kim Yong fell back on the floor, laughing like a maniac. Wiping a few tears, he got off the floor and gave Jisoo and smile.
However, unlike Kim, Jisoo didn't find the matter as funny. Sending a glare towards her best friend, she sighed.
"What now Kim?" She asked. Her eyes looking at the bow intently as she fiddles with it.
"Nothing just wanted to scare you." He replied.
"Seriously?" Jisoo asked in a mocking tone.
"What? A kid gets bored you know." Kim said, emphasizing on the word kid.
"I wouldn't exactly call a 17-year-old a kid." She said. Sarcasm dripping from her tone.
"Fine, anyway why are you upset?" Kim asked.
"I'm not upset, what makes you think that?" She replied.
"We all know that you step into this place only when you are angry. So tell me who made you angry?"
"It's nothing." She replied not wanting to burden Kim with her worries.
"Look I know it's been a year but you need to let it go." He said. He seemed to know what she was thinking without her telling him.
Jisoo had told him a bit about her past but not all. She still remembers when they first met.
She was new at school and knew nothing about it. She got lost the second she stepped in, but he helped her find the way to the office, to class, and to the canteen multiple times. Let's just say Jisoo has a really bad memory.
Soon after that, they started talking, very often I might say, and would hang out at the range or at the small cafè down the street. They soon became best friends and were sometimes confused for a couple, but Kim dismissed the idea every time. Jisoo, on the other hand, would often think about the idea but laugh it off as well. That was until she started developing feelings for him. She started noticing small things, like how there were small freckles on his left cheek. So faint that you could barely notice them until unless you focused really well.
One day, she actually got the courage to tell him. It was right here in the archery range. They were both done with practice and were about to head home when Jisoo stopped him. She was quite nervous and quietly said it in a rush. Unfortunately for Jisoo, the feeling wasn't mutual.
Kim was the complete opposite and thought of Jisoo as nothing more than a friend.
Although she was a bit heartbroken by the news, she just agreed that they should stay "friends". After a while, Jisoo thought she was over it.
However, it seemed as though the heart and mind didn't like to be on the same page. After that, her visits to the range became less frequent. Now thing seemed a bit normal, but the two knew that after that confession. Nothing is ever going to be normal again. Like it was before. Now Jisoo just came to the range to blow off some steam. She would just brush off Kim, when he asked her why she stopped coming as often, saying that she was just a bit caught up in school work.
It was far from the truth but Kim accepted it. But deep down, he knew why Jisoo didn't come to the range as often. He just refuses to believe it had anything to do with the confession.
While Jisoo thought about her own little world, Kim continued to talk until he realized that Jisoo was not listening. He hit her upside the head to get her attention back.
"Ow, seriously man hitting a small girl?" Jisoo said shooting glares towards him.
Kim smirked in response before countering her.
"I wouldn't exactly call a 17 year old female a small girl." He said sarcasm dripping from his tone.
At that moment, Jisoo's phone vibrated. Taking it out, she checked her phone to see a message from her father and an email. A horn followed this as she looked up to see her father outside in the car.
Bidding goodbye to him, she ran up to the car and got in. The conversation between her father and her was short nothing major until her father decided to break the silence.
"You know, Kim is a really nice guy."
He said glancing towards Jisoo."Okay..." She said knowing where this conversation was heading.
"But you and he aren't dating right?"
He asked."What? No!" Jisoo replied, almost choking on her water.
"Good." He said looking straight ahead. This wasn't the first time he had thought about. He just didn't like it when Jisoo hid important things such as this from him.
The rest of the car ride remained relatively silent. Once she reaches home, Jisoo ran up the stairs not wanting to stay in the awkward tension that had settled upon the car.
After showering and changing, Jisoo finally remembered she had gotten an email. She logged on to her Gmail and read it.

A smile appeared on Jisoo's face as she jumped up and down. Her phone rang and she ran to pick it up. There was no hi, no hello and no how are you. Just one sentence was said by the excited voice no the other end of the line.
"Did you get it?"
