"I am not going anywhere, they want to take me, they can come and get me!"
Agreste thought she had been polite about Mrs Belfora 's summons. The girl sparked her hands with fire, as she often did to intimidate her fellow servs. Agreste was aware how dangerous Hujinn could be. The girl had a temper and always seemed to be in a bad mood. It was people like this she hoped to protect others from as an Inquisitor.
"I am not afraid of you. I am here to ask you to come along" Agreste had no fear in her voice though she doubted matching might with this girl would end well for her alone.
"Come on, Jinn why you always got to be causing trouble" Joanne sighed from the corner.
Fortunately, she did not come alone.
"Do what you want I ain't going to see her. She wants, she can come to me!" With those words Hujinn turned and stormed down the hall.
Agreste moved to follow her but Joanne grabbed her wrist.
"You gonna get burnt to crisp.Just head back to Mrs. Belfora and let her know how it went down"
-In the office of the servs department head-
"Why do I have to deal with her" Marcus protested at this task.
"well she might listen to her peer" Mrs. Belfora exclaimed.
"and what makes me her peer?" Marcus already knew what Mrs. Belfora was hinting at but he wanted her to say it. If she wanted to draw that comparison, then she would have to say it.
"I mean to say you are both Orphans" Dion Belfora was not a woman to mix words or hide behind pleasantries. Every problem she faced was best handled head on and in the open. Marcus was so accustomed to people dancing around the issue that he for a moment thought his boss would as well.
"Then why not expel her?" Marcus brought up the suggestion again.
"A girl with that level of magical power roaming free would cause havoc wherever she went. She is what the Council wished to paint all untrained servs as. Dangerous at best and malicious at worse." Mrs. Belfora held a deep love of all her students and a drive to see them do well. Hujinn was a black sheep but with proper guidance she could become someone great.
"Did you know wounded animals tend to bite people?"
Mrs. Belfora stopped at the comment and thought for a bit." Are you worried about being bitten?"
"Putting it plainly the girl needs love, she needs to feel caring and compassion. All she knows, all she is about is hate. She was put here because the council wanted to prove that servs are beast, unworthy of magic and like a good dog she runs around sparking fires, making it hard for the other servs to learn." Marcus spat out the words with the closest thing to emotion that he ever showed in the office.
"There" Dion interrupted Marcus "You see the situation for what it really is."
"Was it not obvious, her main victims all have things in common, Glinterfield was always wearing the nice clothes his family sent, Jainevo always gets cookies and gifts from home and so on. She is a child that hates the everyone for her situation"
"See, I just need you to talk to here that is all" Dion explained.
"wait I don't have to mentor her or punish her." Marcus exclaimed in surprise.
"No, I just need you to talk to her about her anger, explain to her that there is another path she can take."
Marcus thought for a bit.
