CHAPTER 1
"Are you sure about this, Shane?" the girl beside him asks while looking at the tall trees surrounding them. "Yes," Shane replies, not. He doesnt one hundred percent trusts or knows why his coming back to a place where he desprately wanted to leave seven years ago.
"Shane, we almost there?" A guy stops his horse to look at Shane. "Yeah," Shane stops his horse next to the guy. "Right after that bend, we'll see a small city," Shane points ahead of them. " I can't believe we're doing this. It's suicide," the guys said as he shakes his head.
"Relax Ren," the girl says as she stops her horse beside the two. "Shane knows what his doing. You know what your doing right?" She asks while looking at Shane. "Maybe about 0.999 percent sure, Yanna," Shane replies and makes his horse go to a trot before Yanna had a chance to reply. "Wait what do you mean 0.999 percent?!" Ren says as he follows with Yanna behind him.
Yanna falls in pace with Ren and they both shared uncertain looks as they rounded the bend. They saw Shane and his horse stop so they too stop, each on his side. All three of them staring at the buildings and lights they see in the distance. Yanna swallows nervously and said, "Is that it? The City?" Shane stares at the lights ahead of them, "Yes, we're here." He looks at both of them in the eye, "Whatever happens, follow my lead. Do as I tell you." Both Yanna and Ren nods at this and the three of them galloped towards the city.
As they entered the city, many eyes turned to them and watched them as they pass by. "Don't look at them," Shane tell them as they pass few hooded people. Yanna quickly averted her gaze to the front. "Where are we exactly going?" She asks him. "You see that castle?" Shane asks to no one in particular. "Yes," Ren says looking up the mountain where a medieval looking castle stood. "Don't tell that's where we're..." Yanna whispers nervously as she saw scary the castle look. "Yes," Shane confirms, "That's where we're going."
As they approached the castle they see lights inside, and they can hear music coming from it. "Remember what I told you," Shane says as they enter the vicinity of the castle. They were met by people in tuxedos by the entrance of the castle. Shane, Ren and Yanna get down of their horses, and were ushered into the castle.
They were met by a merry scene. It seems that they are having a party. Shane scans their surroundings and feels that Yanna got all stiff. "Relax," he whispers to her to calm her down. The man who ushered them in bowed and greeted them saying, "Welcome to Black Academy, please wait for a moment." After saying that he left the three of them standing akwardly. "Do you think that they will actually agree to this?" Ren asks uncertainly as he looks at the beautiful men and women around them. "We have to try."
The man comes back and lead them to the second floor. The hallway is surrounded by pictures and paintings of what seems to be like students in uniform. It is being litten by candles, which makes the shadows look menancing. "Here we are," the man says as he stops in front of the big mahogany door. He knocks, and they hear a voice saying to let them in.
Shane takes a deep breath and the man opens the door, revealing a well lighted room, around four chouches and five six sofas and two girls and four boys in dresses and tuxedos. "Here they are, my lord," the man says, bowing. "Thank you, you may leave," the blond boy dismisses him. The man bows and closes the door behind him, leaving the three.
"What brings you here?" A girl in a baby pink dress asks them. Yanna swallows and looks at Shane, you talk. "We're here because we wanted to ask a favor," Shanes says loudly. "How did they did get here in one piece?" The guy in a black tuxedo asks as he looks at them, with curiousity and hunger? Ignoring what Shane just said. "Don't you recognize a familiar face, Gilbert?" The blond guy asks Gilbert with a disbelieving look. Gilbert scans the three faces again and stops at the familiar face and stares hard. Trying to remember who that person is.
