Darens POV(Jaspers father)

I hung up the phone. The school had just called and said that Jasper hadn't shown up for school. Had Ryker come already? No... he would have told me. This wasn't good. If Ryker finds out that Jasper is missing he'll kill me for sure. I just really hope he doesn't try to run.. Ryker won't forgive him for that..

"I have to find Jasper."

Jaspers POV

I sat in my car awhile just daydreaming about Ryker. Would he be tall and handsome? Or would he be ugly and grotesque like the demons from movies? And anyway, why should I care? I would have to stay with him either way.

"Ugh! This isn't fair!!" I yelled as I rested my head on the steering wheel. What was I going to do? I don't want to be the bride of a demon! I couldn't just keep running and hope he'd never find me... could I?

At this point I didn't see much of a choice and turning back wasn't an option. I still had about a half tank of gas and $250 in my wallet. I could make it to the next town in 20 minutes and from there I can go anywhere I want.

I started the car and pulled back onto the road. I hoped and prayed that I could outrun a demon.

Ryker POV

"You what!?" I was beyond furious with Daren. That idiot let my beloved run away. Daren stared up at me terrified of what I might do.

"I-it wasn't like I did it on purpose! He was supposed to be going to school, but I guess he was upset when I told him..." I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"Daren I told you to tell him the moment he could understand! I knew this would happen if you didn't!" I snapped at him.

"I couldn't do it... I couldn't just tell him! He's my son, I wanted him to have a happy life before you took him."

My anger towards Daren wavered a little. He was just a father looking out for his son, but he still disobeyed me. He was going to pay for this but now was not the time. I cared more for Jaspers safety than this moron.

"I'm going to find him. As punishment you will not be allowed to say goodbye to him."

"What!? No! You can't do that! He's my son!"

"And you fucked up." With that I turned and disappeared. Was I really going to deni him the right to see his son?
