Nightmares outside

They say we are safe where we are. The elders talk about hideous monsters outside. They tell stories the can make the bravest of all brave men to shudder from fear. The tell things that no sane person can believe. And they swear. They swear that all they say are real.

Monsters eating flesh. Blood and guts everywhere. Some believe what the elders say. Other people think that since the elders must have been exposed to some portion of radiation that did some damage to their brain.

The radiation. That's what destroyed the planet earth. Destroyed our world. Changed life forever.

A great amount of radiation was leaked from a nuclear reactor in Russia. And the doors of Hell has opened on Earth. That radiation leak caused the death of two third of the globular population. The few that survived created the domes. They were sturdy structures that functioned as if you were on earth before the catastrophe. They were high-tech and ensured the safety of the citizens.

For the past decade we lived a normal life. Safe, happy. We thought that can never change. We believed in our counsel. We believed in our technology. We believed in the power of the dome.

One thing that human beings can and will never learn, we tent to make the same mistakes again and again

Nothing stays forever. No one lives forever.

 The elders were right. They weren't mad. They weren't liars.

Monsters were real.

And they were waiting for us.
