Thomas had only touched the tip of the iceberg when it came to the sides. There was an entire world beyond them. His mind was tricky. Ivory was sitting in her room reading her favorite book. It was about the light side. This is where the conscious mind was.
Ivory lived in the subconscious. The conscious was where Virgil, Patton, Logan, and Roman lived. Most importantly Thomas himself, although he knew none of this. Virgil was rumored to have once lived in the subconscious.
There were many different parts to the mind. But conscious and subconscious were the main dividers. Some fell in between and we're called greys. Deceit was one.
. Ivory closed her book. The intercom rang loud. "All dark sides report to the border."
Ivory's heart quickened. Lilly. She ran towards Lilly's room. Using her key she entered. The dark blues and blacks hit her eyes. Lilly always loved those colors said they were power colors. Lilly was gathering her things. She saw Ivory and ran up to her. "It is today."
"I know let's get packed"
They left Lilly's room. They corridor was empty. They were late. Lilly and Ivory closed their eyes. They found themselves standing in a plain terrain, the sky was dark and foreboding. To their left was an impenetrable line of trees. The trees were covered in silver gears. Next to Lilly and Ivory were the other sides. This was the day they were chosen. Who would be implemented more in Thomas's life. The Caretaker smiled brightly. His suit was a deep black. He managed the sides. But the person who controlled him was called Intercom.
Lilly had beautiful long brown hair. Her green eyes were piercing. Ivory had blue eyes with thick black lashes. Her hair was blond and flowed behind her.
The Caretaker walked over to them. He looked exactly like Thomas except with a fake smile and personality. "You two right. Power and justice." He twitched. "You two step forward."
As they did so they noticed that a girl with long black hair, dark clothes that cut off at the shoulders, and bands covering her arms. Stepped forward. Her face was hidden in her hair. Many others stepped forward. Ivory wondered what happened.
Finally they passed through the gate. The light was blinding.
