Prologue

Walking down the sidewalk in a rush was a family of four; a mother, father, and two little girls that looked to be about two years apart.

"Look mommy look," a little girl that looked to be about six exclaimed. "See mommy an ice cream stand! Can we get some? Can we? Please, mommy, please?"

"No sweetheart, we're going to be late if we stop." the mother of the little girls said looking down at them with so much love. "Maybe on the way back if you two are good."

"Yes! Did you hear that daddy? Mommy said we could get some ice cream after we get a brother!" the eldest of the daughters said excitedly. She looked to be about eight.

The younger one grinned showing her missing teeth. "Am I really going to have a little brother?" she asked her parents.

"You can choose! Anna? Shanna? Which would you like, a little brother or a big one?"

"I want a big brother! That way he can protect me from getting hurt!" Shanna, the older of the two said happily.

"Yes! Nobody will want to mess with us if he's way big!" the youngest, Anna, said throwing her arms high above her head to show her parents how big he should be.

Both parents laughed loudly. "We'll see about that." Their father told them still chuckling. "We're almost there."

The two girls smiled up at their parents, eyes shining excitedly, they skipped forward towards the building they had been once before.

The sign read: Pine's Orphanage.

As the children skipped they ran into three masked men running out of a nearby bank. They quickly backed up to apologize, just as they opened their mouths the sound of a gun being shot echoed throughout an alleyway close by.

"Anna!" Shanna and her parents all screamed at the same time. Before anyone could move or say anything else three more shots were fired. The family of four lay on the ground bleeding and the three masked men got in a car parked across the street and drove away.

By the time help arrived the only one conscious was Shanna. Her mom and little Anna were passed out, pale and covered in blood, while their dad was shot to close to the heart; he was already gone.

Shanna was in tears from the pain and the loss of her father, while she still had hope that she and her mother and sister would live.

Soon the pain became too much for her to bear and she fell into unconsciousness. The paramedics were trying hard to keep the family alive and soon arrived at the nearest hospital.

Time passed and soon the mother of the two little girls couldn't fight anymore. She slowly lost her heartbeat, though the doctors tried to keep her alive.

Soon after they had done everything for the newly orphaned girls they could. As doctors waited for them to wake; people were searching for any relatives to take the girls in. The only relatives the girls had left were an aunt in a mental hospital and a grandpa in an old folk's home.

It was soon decided that since they had no family that could take them in they would be going to an orphanage. Pine's Orphanage. The same orphanage they were going when they were shot. The same one they were near when they lost their parents. The same place that changed a sweet innocent eight year old girl and her sister's life's drastically.

That sweet innocent eight year old girl was me but after that day I was not sweet, nor was I innocent. I was trained to be a cold-hearted killer working for the A.S.S. (Assassins Secret Society). It was created by the government to kill off asses like those ones that killed my parents.

As for my sister... she got the easy way out. She was taken out of that place within the first month. She now lives with a family that adores her and thinks of her as their own.

I was there for six months. Apparently they were watching me. Seeing if I had the potential to do what I do now, kill.
