It was terrifying when the apocalypse spread. It was spreading fast! I never thought this was gonna happen.

But somehow it did and we need to survive it. My dad taught me how to use a gun on the walkers (zombies).

I also use my baseball bat. It makes less sound and less likely to attract the walkers. I watched my mother die right in front of my eyes.

It was awful but I got used to all the killing. I sometimes go out and kill some walkers just to get my anger out.

When my mother died I had to watch them feed off her for food. But now we are safe in a abandon asylum.

We have been living here for the past 2 months. My mom died 3 months ago. It's just me and my dad and this nice family.

It's a mom and dad and a son. His name is C/N. He's my age and I have a crush on him. I mean why not the world went to shiz and all my friends are zombies.

Through out the day I usually help his mom with cooking and cleaning clothes while the boys stand guard.

Sometimes I watch the boys but I mean not in a stocking way just to glance at C/N's muscles holding his gun. He looks so tough it's hot.

We are the only "kids" in our group so we kind of have to talk to one another. We're friends it's just awkward.

Then his mom said "hey Y/N could you go get more wood for the fire?" And I nodded and smiled.

I walked past the guys and headed into the forest for wood. I always liked the woods cause it was so peaceful and quiet. While I was picked up a few logs I heard foot steps. I stopped what I was doing and closed my eyes.

This is not happening. Calm down Y/N. It's alright. I said to myself. Then I opened them and I looked straight ahead and a few yards from me was a walker.

They were walking towards me. I was scared now, one bite or scratch and I'll turn. (Turn into a zombie). It finally was a few feet from me and now was on top of me,

I used one of the logs to keep it from biting me. I screamed like shiz. Then I heard footsteps and I thought it was another walker but then the one on top of me was somehow dead and there blood was all over me.

Then I saw C/N's face and he pushed them off me and helped me up. He hugged me tightly I of course hugged back.

Then he whispered "are you ok? Are you bit?" And I shook my head. Then he let go and I said "were you the one who shot him?" And he nodded and I said "thanks." And he nodded. And I blushed a little and we walked back to the asylum hand in hand.
