Chapter one
Bree
I had to keep running. I couldn't let them get me. I needed to keep running. For mom and dad. And the twins. I had to stay strong for them. I listened closely and I didn't hear any foot steps following me, but that didn't stop me. It might be one of their tricks, and I wasn't going to fall for it. After about an hour of running in the freezing rain, I stopped to catch my breath. I knew that the rogues had stopped following me a long time ago, but I needed to run. I'm glad that I changed into my wolf form before I started running, or I would most likely have already died from the coldness.
Pieces from what had just happened started to dwell upon me. I started to change back into my human form, because the pain was to much for my wolf. She was literaly howling in pain for our losses, and I didn't want to die. As soon as I changed back, I felt the warm tears run down my face. We can't cry in out wolf form, so me and wolf were letting it all out in our human form. At the time, I didn't care that I was naked. I was cold, and naked, and in the middle of the forest, in the forest rain, and I didn't care.
I just witnessed my pack get murdered by a pack of rogues, and it hurt. I tried to stop the tears running down my face, with no luck. I was hurting to much. I started to black out from the pain I was feeling, so I just welcomed darkness with open arms. If I died then I could see my family again. I needed to die. Right before I blacked out, I saw a figure come out of a bush. I saw the figure run up towards me, and then I blacked out.
Matt
Just a quick run around the perimeter. I just needed to stretch my legs. Being alpha is hard sometimes. We were having rogue problems, and we just got word that a pack about 100 miles away was attacked, and many were either dead or injured. The whole alpha family was now dead. I wanted to see if the rogues were coming here. If so, we needed to get ready.
It was pouring rain, and it felt amazing against my fur. My wolf was a huge brown and red wolf. It stood over 6'1, making me the biggest wolf in the pack. Then again, I was the alpha. I needed to be big, to protect my pack. I was almost done with my perimeter check, when I smelt something that was not supposed to be here. It was another werewolf, and it smelt like a rogue.
I followed the smell, and came upon a small clearing, with a girl in the middle. I couldn't see her face, but I could tell that she was in a large amount of pain. Wait why do I care, she's a rogue. She looked up a little, and then smiled. I watched as she slowly closed her eyes, and started to fall to the ground. That's when I noticed that she smelt different from any rogue i've ever met. I caught her before she fell, and started to carry her back to the pack house. I could tell from the bruises and cuts on her, that she had just been in a fight of some sort.
But I don't think she's a rogue. Just a runaway. If her story checks out, then she'll join our pack. If she turns out to be a rogue, then i'll kill her myself. But for now, she needs medical attention. And cloths. I carried her back to the house, so we could decide what to do with her.
