'Hey honey, come ' Julie's dad wrapped her in arms.
In delight, she became emotional watching her dad.
Of course, she ought to be. They met after 4 long years. And our schooling was all done now. We were getting back home.
At least she's fortunate enough to have her dad come to pick up.
'I'll miss you doll''
I could see her in tears. So was I in.
Our four-year old friendship taught me numerous things and I would so miss her now.
'Don't lose touch, Julie. I'll miss you. Bye'
Now I had nobody. Perfectly 'nobody'.
Everyone had gone home. I was waiting, hoping for at least mum to pick me up.
I took my bag and went to the metro. Sat there for like hours.
I got a call on my phone.
'Lin. I'm sorry. Could you wait there for another day? I'm stuck here. An urgent work. You understanding, Lin.? You there?'
I disconnected.
I picked up my valise and headed toward a train.
I slept. My head was all spinning.
I'm not happy. I'm sad. Not just because I completed my high school or something. But because I'm going back home now.
