That morning there was a whole array of bunkers getting ready to leave and start a defending raid. Jason's group was the center of it all. Them and all of the bunkers commanders were planing routs from people to get to the south side and ways to get into and out of the walls. For the next 7 months hundreds of scouting missions and supply raids were put into action. Making the survivors in the city a force to be reckoned with. Some bunkers were able to get into the defense systems of the city and start prepping for the day of when the "grand escape" would happen. Jason's group even managed to take a landed aircraft and gave it to one of the other bunkers to hide it. Latter on they managed to figure out how to fly it and how to use it. Losses to people of the city were adding up but not to grate extents. The losses for them were just starting to get into the hundreds. The day has finally come. Everyone was egger to get out of these horrible walls. But most of all people were worried and nervous. They day started off just like any other 2 squads sent out at 5 AM sharp. They come back at 7 AM. Everyone eats then gets going to their normal jobs. But this time everyone was packing supplies onto trucks and carts everyone's belongings would be left behind except 3 things. All of the bunkers position. Every bunker commander split every one into 2 groups one would be defense group and the other would be civilians. The defense groups would be in 2 parts one in the front of the group and one in the back. All bunker hangers opened at 8 AM sharp. The first defense groups went first followed by civilians then the back defense groups. Every person in the city was moving towards the south wall. It was a slow march. The sound of shuffling feet echoed throughout the city. All groups were on the move now. Some were close to the south all others miles away.

Earlier that morning Jason and his team moved to the bunker farthest from the south wall so they can catch anyone who's been disconnected from their group. A hour and a half into the way to the wall a loud crack shattered over the sound of shuffling. Maximum was hit. It was a sniper hidden among the rubble of blown apart buildings. The front and the back of the line then erupted in a hail of fire shooting in the direction the shot came from. The sniper kept firing. Pinging person after person. Every one ran in different directions looking for a safe place to stick behind. Jason called to bunker 42 saying they were being held down by a sniper. Bunker 42 copied them and sent out the back bone of the resistance. At bunker 42 the sound of air being cut from giant blades filled the hanger. The aircraft started to spool up. Then started to lift off the ground. The hanger doors over head started to open showing daylight in the dark dark bunker. Aircraft 42 raised above the rubble around the bunker. Jason shot a red flair into the air overhead the sniper marking its location. 42 moved over about half a mile away and lined up a shot. A sort burst from its chain gun laid a blanket of fire in the snipers position. The sniper went silent. Jason called out to everyone that it was clear and that they should get moving before more come. Jason's group quickly ran to maximum and put a bandage over the entry hole. They then injected him with morpheme easing the pain from him. He's lost lots of blood. They looked around asking for a blood bag but they couldn't find one. Enemy groups were closing in on their position. 42 started to lay heavy fire around them keeping the enemy groups away from them. Jason pulled maximum into a ditch on the side of the road and covered him with a blanket. He looked at the group with fear in his eyes. Time seemed slow for them radios blaring from other people in the city and the sound of artillery dropping they were all frozen with fear. One of the countless explosions brought them back to life. They looked at each other and knew what they had to do. They called to 42 to protect the last bunkers group. Jason's group picked up maximum's boxy and took him to one of the trucks. They loaded him on and watched him disappear into the smoke of the burning city. Jason turned to his men "this is what were fighting for. These people were all they got. We have to figure a way out of this city and get all of the help we can get. Or they would all die." They all moved on with the civilians. Groups started to get to the south wall one by one some hours apart. When all groups were at the south wall they started to move into the deep and dangerous wall. Every person was now bundled up next one another. The inside was a maze. Only the commanders of bunkers knew the way out. They started to show their leadership half way into the maze everyone was stoped at a dead end. All of the commanders and Jason's group were at the front of the line. One of the commanders took out a microchip in his pocket. He put it to the wall and a panel popped out of the side. He punched in a key code and then it closed. A loud scraping and groaning sound came from metal in the wall. Light started to appear as a crack in the wall started to grow bigger and bigger. Jason's group was the first ones out. They were face to face with the back of their village. Then people started to come out of the wall and rushed into the village. TO BE CONTINUED
