Episode 4

(Ryoma’s aspect)

On my way to school I tried to reach Rin everytime by calling and texting him. Why was he acting so weird, ever after his reunion with Haru, he’s acting so strange. Suddenly I got a message from Makoto. ‘we’re going to Samezuka for a training, we’ve found another member and Gou will come to. If you want you’re welcome to come aswell.’  I stayed quiet as I stared at the message. [“I don’t need your help”] I looked back at my phone. ‘What about Haru?’ I text him back. ‘don’t worry about him, it will be fine ^^’ I bit my lip before I took a small sigh, at least I would be able to talk with Rin.

After about an hour I arrived at the pool of Samezuka, I looked around through the place, but I couldn’t find Rin. As soon as I found Haru and the others, I started walking up to them. “ Mako-chan, sorry for being late,” I said before I looked at the unknown face.  Seems like Nagisa made it by trying to let Ryuzaki join. The only thing I was surprised about, was that he wasn’t wearing a swimsuit. “oh, Ryoma-ch,” Makoto finally noticed me till Haru spoke through him; “what is she doing here?” he asked. I bit my lip as I looked a bit at the ground. “oi, if you don’t care about it at all,” I suddenly heard Rin’s voice behind me and before I could turn myself around, he took my arm and pulled me with him out of the room.

“R-rin,” I said as he pulled me quite rude, like he was trying to pull of my whole arm, besides that, he held me quite tight. He didn’t response as he kept walking. “Oi, Rin!” I called him again. He stopped, “what are you trying to do?” “what am i.. what do you mean?” I looked confused at him. “im sure you know where im talking about!” he said. “Rin, whats wrong with you? You’re acting so.. so different! Ever since you’ve returned from Australia for the last time, you’re acting so cold all the time. We’ve been reunited with the others and you didn’t even gave them a nice greeting! Its not ‘us’ anymore, lately its only about you. How you feel under things, you don’t even care anymore about asking me how I am doing! I thought we could share everything. That we could talk about everything and that we were always watching each other’s back. In the nice times, in the hard time,” I pulled my arm back and placed my hand on my other arm and looked away, “or I guess that was only a dream.” “shut up!” Rin yelled fierce, “you’re asking whats wrong with me? But do you even know whats wrong with you?! Do you even know what you’re saying?! You’re the one who’s still thinking about ‘him’ when you’re with me! And then I need to have time when you want! Im also busy!” “that’s not true,” I said quietly. He growled a bit and took my hand, “let’s go, Ryo,”  he started but before he was done I already started to pull my hand back slowly. He stayed quiet for a moment before he suddenly turned around again and slapped me in my face. I moved my face  in the direction he slapped me. “didn’t they say that you were like a sea lion? Well, the listen even better then you do!” he said, if looks could kill. He passed me and walked back to the pool. After a moment I decided to follow him as I ignored the pain of my burning red cheek.

 As i followed Rin onto the tribune, the training started. Makoto was the first one of Iwatobi who needed to dive. He putted on his swim hat and his goggles and got ready on the startblock. As soon as the whistle sounded, he dove with a smooth bow into the water. Nagisa was next and soon it was Ryugazaki Rei’s turn. He yelled something to Nagisa, but I couldn’t hear it from here. He walked a bit hesitating towards the startblock and got ready. but as soon as the whistle, he pushed himself away from the edge and felt on his stomach into the water. “what an idiot,” Rin said as he wrapped his arm around my neck and pulled me against him. As I cuddles a bit into him, I noticed Haru’s death look at us. “guys, he wont get up,” Makoto said till Haru dove into the water. He swam towards Rei and helped him back to the surface.
