it was raining when jimin first met min yoongi.

jimin was in charge at the cashier on a saturday morning when min yoongi enter the small cafe just outside of campus.

jimin has heard of min yoongi before, mostly from namjoon because he always rambles about how genius min yoongi is in music but this is the first time jimin ever saw him.

yoongi ordered an americano. plain black like his whole outfit. and jimin hands might trembles a little when he hands back the change to him.

"go talk to him," seokjin says while putting freshly baked bread on the display box.

"who?" jimin plays dumb even though he knows exactly who the older boy talks about.

"that guy," seokjin points with his chin at yoongi who sits near the window, his back hunched while he writes something on a notebook that he brings.

jimin ends up staring. because min yoongi looks ethereal with his black clothes and spectacles. and the little bit of sunlight that escaped through the grey clouds accentuates his pale skin.

yoongi looks warm and jimin can't take his eyes off.

he might just melt when the other boy turns his head and their eyes met.

the second time jimin met min yoongi is at namjoon's studio.

when it comes to producing music, namjoon usually too caught up in his work to notice it's time for lunch or dinner already so jimin always comes to his studio and tell him that seokjin cooks his favorite food.

but today, it seems like he had company because yoongi was at the booth, spitting some rap lyrics with venom.

"it's a project," namjoon explains. "luckily, yoongi hyung wants to partner up with me. i know we'll get perfect score with this."

jimin didn't really give namjoon's explanation too much attention because he's so mesmerized by yoongi's deep raspy voice.

"did he always sounds like that?" jimin finds himself asking.

"who? yoongi hyung?"

"uh-huh."

"yeah, why?"

"nothing." it's nice. jimin would kill to hear that voice everyday.

that night, jimin somehow managed to get min yoongi to sit across from him at the dinner table at seokjin's apartment.

"so, jimin, you're a dance major, right?"

"huh?" jimin looks up from where he was staring at yoongi's pale veiny hands to his face. "um, yeah."

"cool, my roommate is also a dance major."

"really? who?"

"jung hoseok. know him?"

jimin's eyes brighten at the name, remembering his cheerful older friend that always radiates positivity. "of course, we spent a lot of time together. usually after dance practice. he likes to buy me food."

"what a small world," yoongi smiles.

"yeah, what a small world." and i'm glad that i get to know you.

from beside jimin, seokjin snorts. "you only friends with someone if they buy you food."

and just like that the warm atmosphere shattered.

"you always on your phone."

jimin looks up at his best friend. "so? you always on your phone too, tae."
