Chapter 6: Skating Practice

I am skating on the ice rink once again for my practice. I twirl and twirl and sway my body across tge ice. I'm not gonna have this woman insult me again , I'll prove her that I'm not useless and that I'm talented.

I do the flip jump and luckily I manage to do it without falling but I wobbled a bit. "Oh ... afterall that practice you've managed to do it" Madam Vassey says without a hint of encouragement. Why is she so horrible? She could at least be kind enough to compliment me.

I do the jump flip once again and I nailed it perfectly. I do it three more times to make sure that I am now able to do it. "Woohoo well done Rose!" I turn around to see Noah , Miguel and Artemis clapping and cheering. Madam Vassey gives them a disgusted look and turns her head to me. "Who are these people Rose?" She asks. "Oh...ummm...they are my friends" I tell her a bit nervous.

"Does your father know them?"
"Yes he knows them" I lie to her...again.
She looks at her watch and walks out the door. "It's my break now. Do whatever you want".
When she leaves I skate towards them and come of the ice rink.

"Hey guys!" I greet them with a smile.
"What's that ladies problem?" Noah says with annoyance. "She's my teacher" I tell them taking of my skates. "She sounds so cruel and nasty , can't you tell your father about the ways she treats you?" Artemis says. "My father won't do anything , he thinks its encouragement" I tell them. "That's not encouragement , thats insulting and verbal abuse" Noah says.
"Its okay guys , anyways why did you come here?" I ask them. "We wanted you to see our new dance that we're going to perform for youtube" Miguel says with a huge smirk.

When I go to the dance studio Noah introduces me to the dance crew and then I sit on the floor like the rest of the people ready to watch. The music starts.

Their moves are so hardcore and perfect. The way Noah moves his body and the expressions he makes are so attractive. Even Miguel and Artemis looks brilliant.

When they finish everyone claps. I hand Noah his water bottle.
"Thanks - how was it Rose" he asks.
"It was absolutely amazing!" I say with excitement. "Really? I'm happy you liked it!" He says smiling. "I really want to hip hop dance but I don't know how to do it properly" I say to him. "hey I can teach you but show me some moves first" he smirks at me

"Umm...no I don't think so" I say to him turning away with a sheepish smile. "Then how am I supposed to teach you if I don't know your strengths and weeknesses" he says raising his eyebrows.
"Ugh ok then fine you have a point."
Noah claps his hands and says "Listen up everyone". "What on earth are you doing?" I whispered paniced. Why the hell is he trying to get everyone's attention?
"Rose is gonna show us some moves so gather around and watch the show!" He puts his face close to my ears and whispers "Show me your moves , baby girl" he pushes me in the middle.

I look around at all the smiling faces and the music starts. Oh I know this song! Crazy in love by Beyonce. I remember when I was 12 years old I was dancing to it in my room and then my father came in and saw me and I got told off for doing "inappropriate" stuff.
I start dancing to the songs and watch my moves in the mirror. I can see Artemis looking at me with a suprised smile.

When I finish everyone stares at me in silence. Was that bad? I'm so nervous I've made a fool out of myself! Then suddenly everyone starts clapping and cheering. I look at Noah and he looks at me in bewilderment. He gets up and stands infront of me looking at me from head to toe smiling. "You're an amazing girl Rose , you got moves!" He says to me. Artemis runs up to me and hugs me "that was amazing Rose" "way to go girl" Miguel chimes.

Me and Noah sit outside and drink bubble tea. "So Rose , what happened between you and Chloe?" Noah suddenly asks. I don't think I should tell him but... should I tell him? He's my friend after all. "She told me that you've stopped talking to her and kept ignoring her calls. Did she make you upset?" I decide to tell him the story
"You know that time where I met you for the second time... in starbucks?"
He nods. "Well before we left to go to starbucks she asked my father if she could take me to starbucks and he agreed but he said that we only can stay in Starbucks for 20 minutes but instead she just took me there without telling me and when my father called and got angry with me she lied to him saying that I wouldn't listen to her for us to leave."
"But she never told you , so she lied!" Noah says in frustration.
"And this is not the first time she's done this" I say to him.

"Seriously , she's evil!" Noah says.
"Why are you calling her evil? Isn't she your friend?" I ask him suprised by his words.
"Well... she is but I'm starting to dislike her now.  She's not a good person and she's 2 two faced . Thats why I asked you if she upset you."
She only upset me twice but other than that we've been really good friends.

"How did you and Chloe become friends?" I ask him.
"My mum and her mum are friends" he says to with a sad tone. Why is he so sad?
"Noah , Rose?" We both look up and speak of the devil Chloe stands infront of us suprised to see us.
"Chloe? What are you doing here?" I ask her , suprised myself.
"I came here to apologise to you Rose , I felt really bad on what I did"
She says apologetically. I stare at her unsure whether to forgive her or not.
"Please forgive me! I'm really sorry" she says with a sad face and puppy dog eyes. Ugh I feel bad , she's my friend and she's apologising to me.
"Okay Chloe , I forgive you" I say to her and we both hug.
Chloe is my first friend and we've been friends for such s long time , I shouldn't just break off a relationship this close.
