I put on some sweats and a baggy sweatshirt before leaving my cabin to go meet Josh. We are meeting at the old hideout. It's a place we found when we were about 10. We were out walking and we went a little too far. We found an old brick building that was worn down but still standing. We named it the hideout. We would stay there for hours, getting lost in our own imaginations. We would pretend it was a castle and I was the princess locked in the tower. I chuckled to myself as I thought about the old times with Josh. He truly was always there. I guess I got so comfortable with him that I didn't realize his true feelings.
"Hey.." Josh said as I made my way towards him.
"Hi...." I said.
"Look, Adalynne I meant to t-" I cut him off.
"I don't want things to be awkward Josh. I'm not mad at you. I'm more mad at myself for being so blind. If I was in your shoes I wouldn't know how to tell you either." I said meaning every word.
"Thank you. I didn't want to ruin our friendship." he spoke sincerely. It began to get dark so we climbed to the top of the building and layed on top. Just like old times. We layed there looking at the stars.
"Remember when we first met?" Josh said.
"Of course I do! How could I forget the boy who pushed me into the mud?" I said laughing.
"It's not my fault you were being mean!" Josh replied sticking his tongue out at me.
"So...you don't have feelings for me then anymore?" I asked hesitantly.
"I'm always going to have feelings for you but I just realized that it won't work and Marissa really changed my mind." he replied.
"Well that's good that you found someone. I'm so glad that we are still such good friends after all these years." I said thinking about all the amazing times we have had.
"Me too. I'm so happy that we are able to get through this." Josh replied.

Josh's POV
Honestly I will always love Adalynne but I guess now it will be more like loving her like a sister. I'm so happy everything worked out and we can continue being friends. That's one of the things that is so amazing about her. She is so understanding and forgiving. I really like Marissa though. I'm glad she is just as understanding. After talking it out with Adalynne I decided to invite Marissa over so we could talk a little more. I texted her and told her to meet me in the drive way.
--------------
"Hey, how did it go?" Marissa asked.
"Really well. She doesn't want things to change and still wants be friends." I said.
"That's good. So what do you want to do?" she asked.
"I was thinking a quiet night in at my house? Movie maybe?" I suggested.
"Sounds great to me!" Marissa responded.

I picked out Definitely, Maybe and Marissa snuggled into my chest. I pulled the blanket over the two of us and began the movie. I am so thankful that this blew over so fast.

Adalynne's POV
"How did it go babe?" Harry asked as I walked into the boys cabin.
"It went rather well. We worked it out." I said breathing a sigh of relief.
"We were just about to start a movie, care to join?" he asked.
"I would love to." I said taking a seat next to Harry after a long confusing day.
