Walking away from Avery was difficult as it was every time. There were things I Wanted to say to her, like, I wasn't really ok with her going to see her boyfriend. Or that maybe we should try dating for real. Or just simply, "I like you."

"What?!"she yelled back at me. "Liam, I have a boyfriend!"

"Yea. Me."

"Oh BULL CRAP! You know that this relationship is fake!" She continued.

"Even if we are behind the school right now, people aren't deaf, and second period is starting." I said.

"OH SHUT UP!" She yelled at me, spit flying out of her mouth.

"I'm not the one yelling..." I said under my breath.

"OK, THATS IT! I DONT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT BEING POPULAR, WERE FAKE BREAKING UP! GOODBYE!!!!"
She yelled. I had to make my move. I already couldn't bear not having her for real, not at least having her for fake would kill me. I leaned in, grabbed her waist and kissed her. I lifted her off her feet and spun her around. I then released her. There was a moment of silence as we looked at each other. "Wow..." she said. She then looked at me and slapped me.

"Bro, wake up, you fell asleep." Jack was saying.

"Excuse me, but did you just slap me?!" I yelled."

"Yea. Avery told me to give that to you, from her." He said.

"Wha-what?" I said rubbing my head trying to remember if what happened was real.

"Yea bro, you fell asleep and forgot to pick her up after class." He said.

"Oh thank god." I exhaled.

"What?" He asked.

"I mean shit." I said rubbing my head. "I cant think straight right now, I'm sorry."

"It's cool, but you got to apologize to Avery." He said.

"Yea, I know." I said. "I'll see you later." I said as I got up rubbing my head. I began walking away. I had a raging headache. I walked over to Avery's locker. "Hey," I said. "I'm so so sorry. I fell asleep at the library."

"It's cool. Rachel was just being a bitch about it saying shit like 'ohhhh maybe he doesn't love you anymore, sorry boo'" She said in a mimicking voice. I laughed a little. She gave me a bit of a death stare. I shut my mouth quickly.

"Hey, how about, to make it up to you, I'll drive you to your boyfriends house after school?" I asked.

"Yea, that sounds good actually." She said smiling. "It'll be our first real date."

"Yea, were I go and drop you off to go see your other boyfriend." I said rolling my eyes and smiling.

"Hey, you're face is red. Did Jack actually  slap you?" She asked.

"Yep..." I said laughing awkwardly, rubbing the back of my head.

"Huh. Didn't think he would. Rachel was all like 'What are you gonna do? What what? You gotta take control!!'" She said  in the same mimicking voice as early.

"I understand." I said. I grabbed her books from her as she closed her locker. We began walking towards her next class, history. Fun.

"Hey, what are we gonna do next about next saturday?" She asked looking up at me worried.

I wrapped my arms around her. "What do you mean?"

"Ugh." She said as she playfully punched my side and pulled away from my arm. She stopped walking so I did as well. "Junior prom. After party. Everyone hooks up and they'll be expecting us to as well."

I pulled her close my hands on her shoulders. "Look. Nothing actually has to go down I mean, it'll be awkward, but we can make out a bit and then disappear into a room and just sit there for a bit then come back out." I said laughing nervously. We began to walk again.

"Good, because I don't want to have sex with you." She said rolling her eyes and laughing.

"Are you sure about that? I mean... Im good on the battle field if you know what I mean." I said laughing. I then proceeded to trip over my shoelace. Smooth.

"Sureeeeeee." She said laughing.

She helped me up. Which is what I'm usually supposed to do to her. "Thanks..." I said rubbing the back of my head in embarrassment. We reached her history class. "See you next period, we have music together."

"Ok. Bye." She turned to see kids in the classroom. I was about to walk away when she turned around. "Wait!" She said. She then grabbed me and pulled me into a hug. She kissed my cheek. "Thank you." She said. I saw her move her eyes as if motioning in a direction. Yep. OK so long story, theres these siblings, ones a girl, ones a guy, there twins. The girl has a huge crush on me and the guy has a huge crush on Avery. Last year they tried to conspire to break us up, but since it wasn't a real relationship in the first place there tatics didn't work. The point is she did that so she could turn around and death glare them. She's pretty awesome.

"Ok, see you later, love you!" I said and walked away. I lingered for a bit hoping she would come back out or go to the bathroom, but I had to drag myself to english after a firm five minutes of watching her talk to her classmates. Ugh. It kept hitting me that I would have to see her boyfriend later. Maybe if he got superstitious of me they'll break up? :)

No. She's happy. Happier than she'd be with me. Oh well. Thats life.

As I had taken a few steps down the hall I heard a "Wait!" and "I love you!" I whipped my head around, in hopes it was Avery and god had finally answered my prayers, but it was just the twin.

"Fuck you." I continued to walk.

And then when I made it to english I didn't even go in. I just stood outside the door. Then I proceeded to walk. I just walked and walked until I reached the exit. I went outside and sat in my car. I knew I'd get in trouble, but I took my phone and plugged it in. I blasted Panic! at the Disco's newest album, Pray for the Wicked. Soon enough the principal came out and told me to get to class. I just walked very slowly to english, then stood outside the door to just walk around some more. This was my life now. Waiting and counting the minutes to see Avery again.
